A power management device and a management method thereof are provided. The power management device includes a switch, a detection circuit and a controller. The switch receives an external power. The detection circuit receives an internal power and at least one operation power. The detection circuit determines whether at least one of the internal power and the operation power is in a preset specification range or not to generate a protection activate signal. The controller sets a protection flag according to the protection activate signal, and generates a control signal according to the protection flag by executing an application program. The controller transmits the control signal to turn off the switch.

A method for controlling battery recharging process is provided for an electronic device equipped with a battery. The method comprises entering a recharging smart mode. In the recharging smart mode, an actual capacity rate of the battery is determined. In the recharging smart mode, according to the actual capacity rate of the battery, a rechargeable capacity rate of the battery is changed. When the actual capacity rate is larger than a first capacity threshold value for a first predetermined time interval, the rechargeable capacity rate of the battery is decreased.

A portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device includes a system end and an adapter. The system end provides a trigger signal. The adapter converts an input AC voltage into an output DC voltage and provides the output DC voltage to the system end. When the adapter is connected to the system end, the trigger signal turns on the adapter. When the adapter is disconnected from the system end, the adapter detects an absence of the trigger signal and turns off automatically.

A system and a method for power control are provided. In the present invention, a control switch is disposed in a power adapter, which is turned on/off by a monitoring device disposed in a portable electronic device. As a result, the power inputted into the power adapter can be controlled, and thus the power consumption during the portable electronic being shut down is reduced. In addition, the present invention controls the power providing for a battery according to a detected power on/off signal and the electric quantity of the battery. The control switch is turned off to stop the power adapter from providing power when the electric quantity of the battery reaches a reference value. A fuel cell device with a compound power supply is disclosed, which comprises a bipolar fuel cell board and an auxiliary power supply. The bipolar fuel cell board includes at least one fuel cell unit. The auxiliary power supply is disposed on the bipolar fuel cell board and/or on an intermediate substrate sandwiched within the fuel cell device, and is connected to the fuel cell units. Stable power is output due to the combination of power from the fuel cell units and the auxiliary power supply.
