A light guide plate includes a light incident surface, a first surface connected to the light incident surface, and a plurality of optical microstructures disposed on the first surface. Each optical microstructure has a first cross-sectional profile along a first direction and a second cross-sectional profile along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The first cross-sectional profile is different from the second cross-sectional profile. The optical microstructures include a plurality of first optical microstructures and a plurality of second optical microstructures. The second cross-sectional profile of each first optical microstructure is different from the second cross-sectional profile of each second optical microstructure. A light source module including the light guide plate projects light into the light incident surface.

Light guide plate with asymmetrical optical microstructures

The optical film includes a main body and an optical structure. The optical structure protrudes from a surface of the main body. The optical structure includes a first side surface and a second side surface. A first connecting line and a first angle less than 90 degrees are formed between the first side surface and the surface of the main body. A second connecting line and a second angle less than 90 degrees are formed between the second side surface and the surface of the main body. When viewed from a normal vector of the surface of the main body, a third angle is formed between an extension line of the first connecting line and an extension line of the second connecting line, and the third angle is greater than 0 degree and less than 90 degrees.

Optical film

A liquid crystal display including a display panel, an optical film and a backlight module is disclosed. The optical film is disposed on the display panel and has a plurality of micro structures facing the display panel arranged on the optical film. The period of the arranged micro structures is between 90 &#x3bc;m&#x2dc;3 &#x3bc;m. The backlight module and the optical film are disposed on opposite sides of the display panel respectively. The backlight module is used for emitting a light, which penetrates the display panel and reaches the optical film. The light is deflected by the micro structures of the optical film and then is emitted to the outside at an angle of 20&#x2dc;70 degrees relative to a normal line of the light outputting plane of the optical film.

An imaging method. A light beam passes through a first lens set, a second lens set, an imaging device and a projection lens set. The light beam is focused in a first position. The focused light beam converges in a first relay position via the first lens set and in a second relay position via the second lens set. The optical path from the first position to the principal plane of the first lens set is defined as a first optical path, and the principal plane of the second lens set to the second relay position as the fourth optical path. The length of the first optical path is longer than twice the focal length of the first lens set, and the length of the fourth optical path is longer than twice the focal length of the second lens set.

Optical imaging method and projector utilizing the same

An optical system for a projector and an imaging method thereof. A light beam from a light source passes through a first lens set and a second lens set sequentially. The light beam having passed through the second lens set is reflected by a first mirror to pass through the second lens set again and arrived at an imaging device. The light is reflected from the imaging device to a projection lens set to project the light beam onto a screen.
