A method to fuse images to create temperature-based images with higher resolution and frame rate than those of a microbolometer controls a first camera device to capture a first video and controls an infrared camera device to capture a second video. Information as to objects in each frame of image in the first video is recognized, and the edge of an object in the image information is extracted. A thermal image corresponding to the first video is obtained from the second video, the thermal image being processed by an MEMC algorithm for motion estimation and compensation (prediction), to obtain an image free of misalignments and time displacements. A final fused image is obtained by fusing the defined-edges image, the thermal image, and the prediction image. An electronic device employing the method is also disclosed.

Image fusion method and electronic device

A method of making a display device includes: forming light-emitting elements on a substrate; each sub-pixel including one light-emitting element; the light-emitting elements arranged in a array, the display device defining a plurality of pixels, each of pixel including 2*2 sub-pixels, the light-emitting elements in each pixel configured to emit light of same color; detecting whether each light-emitting element is defective and recording positions of the light-emitting elements that are defective; setting a resolution of the display device to be a maximum resolution when it is detected that there is no defective light-emitting element; setting a resolution of the display device to be an adjustment resolution when it is detected that there are defective light-emitting elements. The adjustment resolution is less than the maximum resolution.

Method of making display device

A display panel with a less costly backup arrangement for failed light-emitting elements and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels. Each pixel includes a plurality of main sub-pixels and a backup sub-pixel. For any one of the pixels, if there is a failed main sub-pixel, the backup sub-pixel is activated and configured for cooperating with non-failed main sub-pixels to output metamerized light of a desired target color in order that no change in color or brightness is perceived by a viewer.

Display panel and driving method thereof

A holographic display device with reduced color shifting in relation to different colors includes a display panel and a diffraction component. The display panel emits a first color light having a first emission efficiency and a second color light having a second emission efficiency. The first emission efficiency is greater than the second emission efficiency. The diffraction component on an optical path of the first and second colors of light diffracts the first color light at a first diffraction efficiency and the second color light at a second diffraction efficiency to generate a holographic image, the first diffraction efficiency is less than the second diffraction efficiency.

Holographic display device

A holographic display device includes a display panel for emitting a first image light and a diffraction component on an optical path of the first image light. The first image light includes first and second colors of light. The diffraction component diffracts the first color light at a first diffraction efficiency and diffracts the second color light at a second diffraction efficiency. The first color light and the second color light after diffraction are mixed together in a second image light for generating holographic images. By emitting the first color light and the second color light in the first image light at the same grayscale value, a ratio of intensities of the first color light and the second color light becomes inversely proportional to a ratio of the first diffraction efficiency and the second diffraction efficiency.

Holographic display device with color-shifted adjustment

A holographic display panel with precise control in the wavelengths of projected light, and therefore sharpness of image, includes a light source and a filter layer. The light source emits at least a first color light and a second color light. The filter layer is located on an optical path of the first color light and an optical path of the second color light. The filter layer includes first and second filter units. Each of the first filter units filters and restricts wavelengths of the first color light, each of the second filter units filters and restricts wavelengths of the second color light.
