An exemplary cutting apparatus for cutting components from a sprue includes a sprue retainer, a laser cutting unit, and a rotating driving unit. The sprue retainer has a supporting surface. The supporting surface defines a receiving hole, and grooves extending across the entire supporting surface. The grooves are in communication with the receiving hole. The laser cutting unit is disposed above the sprue retainer and is configured for emitting a laser beam to cut the sprue carried on the sprue retainer. The sprue retainer is coupled to the rotating driving such that the rotating driving unit is capable of driving the sprue retainer to rotate.

Laser cutting apparatus

An exemplary zinc oxide nano-wire based actuator includes a first electrode, a second electrode opposite to the first electrode, and a zinc oxide nano-wire layer sandwiched between the first electrode and the second electrode. The zinc oxide nano-wire layer includes two opposite surfaces in contact with the first and the second electrodes respectively, and a plurality of zinc oxide nano-wires substantially parallel to each other. The first electrode and the second electrode are configured for cooperatively creating therebetween an electric field with an electric field direction substantially parallel to the zinc oxide nano-wires so as to adjust a thickness of the zinc oxide nano-wire layer, thereby moving the second electrode relative to the first electrode.

Zinc oxide nano-wire based actuator, lens module using same and camera module using same

A liquid-cooled heat dissipation system includes a heat absorber; a heat dissipating member; two connecting pipes connecting the heat absorber and the heat dissipating member; and a working fluid filled in the heat absorber, the heat dissipating member, and the connecting pipes. The working fluid is capable of circulating in the circuit. The working fluid includes a base fluid, a plurality of nanoparticles and a protective agent dispersed in the base fluid. A percentage by weight of the nanoparticles in the working fluid is in the range from 0.1% to 3%.

Heat dissipation system

A lens includes a central optical portion, a peripheral portion surrounding the central optical portion, a first ZnS coating formed on the central optical portion and the peripheral portion at one side of the lens, and a first MgFcoating formed the central optical, the peripheral portion being free of MgFcoating formed thereon. The optical thickness of the first ZnS coating is one quarter of a wavelength of predetermined light passing therethrough. The optical thickness of the first MgFcoating is one quarter of the wavelength of the predetermined light.

A method for manufacturing a carbon nanotube field emission cathode includes the steps of: providing a substrate () with a metallic layer () thereon; defining holes () in the metallic layer; oxidizing the metallic layer to form a metallic oxide layer () thereon; removing portions of the metallic oxide layer in the holes so as to expose corresponding portions of the metallic layer; forming a metal-salt catalyst layer () on the exposed portions of the metallic layer in the holes; and growing carbon nanotubes () on the substrate in the holes.

Method for manufacturing field emission cathode

A holding member for facilitating the cleaning of optical components includes two end walls and at least two spaced plates. The two end walls face toward each other. One of the two end walls defines at least one through slot. The at least two spaced plates are held between the two end walls and define at least one pair of respective inner surfaces. Each respective pair of inner surfaces has a pair of corresponding elongated grooves defined therein along a longitudinal direction thereof. Each slot communicates with a respective pair of elongated grooves. In particular, each such through slot and the respective pair of elongated grooves associated therewith are cooperatively aligned with one another in a manner so as to direct the optical components into the respective pair of corresponding elongated grooves.

Holding member for cleaning optical components

An apparatus () for holding optical lenses () provided herein generally includes a holding member () and a cover member () coupling with the holding member. The holding member comprises a plurality of first through holes (). Each of the plurality of the first through holes comprises a first portion () for receiving an optical lens () therein and a second portion () communicating with the first portion. A minimum breadth of the first portion is greater than a minimum breadth of the second portion. The cover member comprises a plurality of second through holes () corresponding to the first through holes of the holding member. The second through holes communicate with their corresponding first portions of the first through holes. A breadth of the second through holes is less than that of the first portions of the first through holes of the holding member.

Apparatus for holding optical lenses

An apparatus for holding a plurality of lenses, including: a block having a mounting surface; a cavity defined in the block at the mounting surface; and a through hole defined in the block, the through hole being in communication with the cavity, wherein the mounting surface is configured for mounting of the lenses thereon whereby the lenses cooperatively substantially close the cavity at the mounting surface. Because of the cavity has a vacuum therein, the lenses can be retainable attached on the mounting surface by means of the vacuum.
