The present invention relates to a device for treating a gas/liquid mixture, comprising: &#x2014;an upright vessel () with a lower and upper compartment; &#x2014;an inlet () for admitting the flow of mixture into the lower compartment; &#x2014;an agglomerating unit () placed between the lower and upper compartment for enlarging the liquid droplets in the mixture; &#x2014;a lower outlet () for discharging the substantially liquid-containing mixture part from the lower compartment; &#x2014;an upper outlet () for discharging the substantially gas-containing mixture part from the upper compartment; characterized by &#x2014;collecting means () for collecting on the downstream side of the agglomerating unit liquid droplets which have broken through the agglomerating unit; &#x2014;recycling means () for recycling the collected liquid to the lower compartment from the collecting means.

Device and method for treating a gas/liquid mixture

Method and system for extraction of fat or oil-soluble components, e.g. PAH, NDP and/or BTX, from produced water being separated from an oil or gas plant. The method is characterized by injection of a liquid consisting of hydrocarbons from the oil or gas plant into the water flow, the injection liquid having a lower content of the oil soluble components than the original oil phase in equilibrium with the water, the injection liquid is atomized into the whole water phase and the water/hydrocarbon mixture is given a predetermined retention time thus to allow mass transferring of the oil soluble components from the water to the injection liquid, before the injection liquid is separated from the water in a separator, preferably a hydro cyclone, the injection liquid being adapted to the separators working range for pressure and temperature.

Water cleaning process

An apparatus for separation of a liquid from a multi-phase fluid flow flowing through a pipeline, wherein the fluid flow is set in rotation so that it is separated into a central zone ( ) essentially containing gas, and an outer annular zone ( ) essentially containing liquid, and from which the gas and the liquid in the two-zones are discharged via respective outlet means ( ). The apparatus comprises an essentially tubular casing ( ) arranged to constitute a part of the actual pipeline, a spin element ( ) for rotation of the fluid flow being located at the upstream end of the casing ( ). The outlet means for the gas comprises an outlet element ( ) arranged at the downstream end of the casing ( ) and having a central, axially extending passage ( ) for the gas, and an outer surface which, together with the inner surface of the casing ( ), forms an annulus ( ) for the inflow of liquid, a barrier ( ) for the liquid being formed at the downstream end of the element ( ). The outlet means for the liquid comprises an upwards open container ( ) arranged at the downstream end of the casing ( ) and adapted to receive liquid which flows into the annulus ( ) and partly runs down into the container ( ) from the bottom area of the casing ( ) at the container opening, and partly falls into the container from the area at said barrier ( ).
