The invention pertains to a shunt resistor for a current measurement apparatus of a busbar, the resistor having a planar resistor body and two connection terminals for measuring voltage across the planar resistor body, wherein each of the two connection terminals is connected to one of two conductive traces provided on opposite sides of the resistor body, and wherein each of the conductive traces includes a measurement portion and a connection portion for connecting the measurement portion to one of the connection terminals. The invention is also directed at a current measurement apparatus including said shunt resistor and a current path provided in parallel to the shunt resistor. The invention is furthermore directed at a busbar with a corresponding current measurement apparatus, wherein the shunt resistor and the current path are provided for connecting the busbar to an electronic component.

An electric system comprising communication link between a signal transmitting end and a signal receiving end, wherein, at the signal transmitting end, a number of data bits are integrated into a low frequency signal to form an integrated signal. Each data bit is transmitted as part of a symbol. Each symbol comprises a predefined number of bits encoding at least one data bit, the state of some of the bits of each symbol being dependent on the state of the low frequency symbol.

Integrated serial communication

Power electronics device, such as a frequency converter, which includes liquid-cooled power units (REC, REC, AFE, AFE, INU, INU, DC/DC, DC/AC) and also a substrate arrangement. The power units include at least one power semiconductor component, e.g. an IGBT or a diode, connected to at least one power circuit connecting them. The power units are mechanically separate and they are disposed on at least one substrate provided with liquid cooling ducts. The substrate is common to more than one power unit, wherein the substrate includes liquid cooling interfaces and power circuit interfaces for each power unit that can be connected to it. In addition, the substrate includes one liquid cooling interface and one power circuit interface (DC+, DC&#x2212;) to outside the substrate.

An overvoltage protection system for the intermediate circuit of frequency converter, said frequency converter being a voltage-controlled PWM-frequency converter comprising an uncontrolled mains bridge () to be connected to an alternating-current source (U, U, U), a direct-voltage intermediate circuit and a controlled load bridge () for producing a multi-phase alternating voltage (U, U, U) of variable frequency, wherein the direct-voltage circuit of the frequency converter contains a low-capacitance direct-voltage capacitor, the mains bridge () being connected to the load bridge () directly without a high-capacitance direct-voltage capacitor serving as an intermediate energy storage, and which overvoltage protection system contains a varistor (R). The overvoltage protection system consists of a series connection of the varistor (R) and a semiconductor switch (V), said series connection being connected in parallel with the direct-voltage capacitor, which semiconductor switch has a voltage rating lower than the normal operating level of the direct-voltage intermediate circuit.
