An automated wire feeder assembly to first repetitively receive a wire from a gripper of an automated processing tool and then load the wire into a hollow conduit coupled to the gripper of the automated tool. The wire feeder assembly includes belts that pivot between open and closed positions and each belt rotate to advance a wire into the conduit attached to the gripper of the automated tool. When the belts are in the open position the gripper of the automated tool places a free end of the wire into a wire guide. Pivoting the belts to the closed position engages the belts with the free end of the wire. Once the belt is engaged with the free end of the wire, rotating the belts advances the wire out of the wire feeder and into the gripper conduit.

A method is described that is suitable for automated use of peg apparatus and an electrical wire harness peg board. The pegs are utilized on a wire harness peg board during the assembly of a wire harness, and are particularly well suited for use in an automated assembly of the electrical wire harness where a constant upward, downward or lateral tension is desired without altering the free ends of each wire of a bundled wire harness.

Method of assembling electrical control panel wire harness

A gripper for an articulable arm of an automated processing tool is described that is suitable for picking and placing objects on a wire harness peg board. The gripper includes at least two spaced apart opposing grips. Each grip further includes spaced apart protrusions. The opposing grips and protrusions actuate between open and closed positions. When in the closed position the opposing grips are capable of enclosing a perimeter of an object and may further support an underside of the object. The gripper may further grip a wire so that the automated processing tool may orient the wire and apply a constant upward, downward or lateral tension on the wire.

A peg apparatus is described that is suitable for use with an electrical wire harness peg board. The pegs are utilized on a wire harness peg board during the assembly of a wire harness, and are particularly well suited for use in an automated assembly of the electrical wire harness where a constant upward, downward or lateral tension is desired without altering the free ends of each wire of an assembled wire harness.

The present inventors devised, among other things, systems, methods, and software that radically simplify and reduce the time necessary to specify, design, manufacture, and document control panels and wiring harnesses for semi-custom and custom equipment, such as HV AC equipment. A computer storage medium includes data relating to a plurality of control panel enclosures and a set of rules for designing a control panel. The system receives a selection of two or more components for placement in the control panel, retrieves information about the two or more components from a database, and generates one or more layouts. The one or more layouts comprise placement of the two or more components within at least one of the plurality of control panel enclosures as a function of the set of rules for designing a control panel. The control panel enclosures are dynamically selected as a function of the two or more components. The exemplary system dramatically reduces the product specification and engineering time required for any custom control panel and makes it possible for OEMs to efficiently offering more options and shorter turn-around times to its customers.

Systems, methods, and software for automated design and manufacturing of HVAC control panels

The present inventors devised, among other things, systems, methods, and software that radically simplify and reduce the time necessary to specify, design, manufacture, and document control panels and wiring harnesses for semi-custom and custom equipment, such as HVAC equipment. One exemplary system includes a computerized product configuration module that defines product family parameters from user input and outputs a product family data structure, for example, a coded character string, to a technical design module. The technical design module, which incorporates engineering design rules for control panels and wiring modules, automatically processes the coded character string, outputting detailed engineering drawings, component listings, and even assembly instructions to robotic manufacturing equipment. The exemplary system dramatic reduces the product specification and engineering time required for any custom control panel and makes it possible for OEMs to efficiently offering more options and shorter turn-around times to its customers.

A mass transfer machine removes dissolved gases or volatile organic compounds from air or a liquid. The mass transfer machine includes a vessel capable of containing a liquid and having a liquid inlet and an air inlet at a near end. It further includes a liquid outlet at a far end. Two or more baffles are located transversely inside of the vessel. The baffle located nearest to the far end of the vessel has a window. Two or more diffusers are located near a bottom surface of the vessel. The diffusers are in communication with the air inlet and have two or more orifices through a wall. An adjustable plate is releasably mounted over the window of the baffle located closest to the far end of the vessel. The plate is adjustable in a vertical direction. In one embodiment, an air source supplies air to the air inlet located on the near end of the vessel. In another embodiment, an air source is connected to the an air exit located on the far side of the vessel.
