An acoustic bass guitar includes a lower body, a neck extending upwardly from the lower body, and a headstock disposed on an upper end of the neck. The lower body includes a bridge and saddle to support the strings, which are affixed at opposing ends to tuners on the headstock. An upper body that is continuous with the lower body includes a curved extension that extends outwardly from an upper side of the lower body. The upper body curves inwardly toward the upper end of the neck, connecting to the headstock and defining an open area between the neck and the inner sidewall of the upper body. One or more sound holes are disposed on the front face and outer sidewall of the upper body. A retractable stand allows the device to be played in horizontal or vertical orientations. The curved upper body adds neck stability, sound and sustain.

For measuring an area of interest based on a sensor task and/or routing sensor data, a method discovers a network topology for a network comprising a plurality of network nodes connected by links. The method dynamically generates a minimum spanning tree from the network topology. Given sensor data traverses one link of the minimum spanning tree only once. The method routes a sensor task to a sensor with a sensor motion track that includes an area of interest. The method measures the area of interest with the sensor based on the sensor task. The method routes sensor data from the measurement of the area of interest via links of the minimum spanning tree.

Measuring an area of interest based on a sensor task

For measuring an area of interest based on a sensor task, a method generates a sensor task comprising a sensor type and an area of interest. The method further routes the sensor task to a sensor of the sensor type and with a sensor motion track that includes the area of interest. The method measures the area of interest with the sensor based on the sensor task.
