Fastener installation systems, devices and methods for driving fasteners, including fasteners, into a surface are disclosed. The fastener installation systems include an adapter operable to engage a chuck on a power tool on a first end and a fastener delivery attachment on an opposing end.

Position indicator tools systems and methods for use with an elongated adapter are disclosed. Tools are configurable to engage the distal end of the elongated adapter include a first member wherein the first member has a distal end and two projection elements positioned in a plane and a channel between the projection elements further wherein at least one of the first members has a notch at a distal end on a channel-facing side, a positioning member formed integrally with the first member wherein the positioning member has a linear marker on a first side, an angled marker on a second side, and a rocker positioned between the angled marker and the channel.

Methods for using installation tools are disclosed. Fastener installation tools engage the distal end of an elongated. Two projection elements positioned in a plane on the installation tool and a channel between the projection elements further are positionable to provide a marker for a user during use to achieve an optimal installation location.

The elongated adapters have a proximal end and a distal end; and a driver which generates torque mounted to a first end of the elongated adapter; a torque transfer unit engaging the elongated adapter and the driver to transfer torque produced by said driver to a fastener. A positioning assembly for a driving system, the assembly having a first jaw and a second jaw, the first jaw fixed to a driver guide tube, the second jaw fixed to the first jaw to allow one end of the first jaw to rotate away from the second jaw about a connection point, each jaw having an interior channel. The interior channel of the first jaw has an arcuate cross-section. The interior channel of the second jaw is formed from a plurality of walls including an arcuate upper wall and a sub-channel having cross-section formed by a base surface and two side walls, each side wall angled with respect to the base surface. The apparatus also includes a locking member configured to engage the second jaw when the second jaw is rotated away from the first jaw and retain the second jaw in a rotated position.

A mandrel is disclosed for securely holding a screw bit during use, but allowing easy removal of the screw bit for replacement. The mandrel includes a socket having a chamber housing a locking mechanism such as a split-ring. The mandrel further includes a release mechanism such as one or more ears for moving the locking mechanism from a first position where the screw bit is held within the socket and a second position where the screw bit may be removed from the socket.

An apparatus for positioning a fastener in a driving system. A positioning assembly is positioned at the first end of a guide tube to engage a fastener driven by a driver shaft out of the guide tube. The positioning assembly includes a first jaw having an interior cavity and a mounting portion allowing the jaw to be mounted to the guide tube. The positioning assembly includes a second jaw having an interior cavity and a mounting tab allowing the jaw to be mounted to the guide tube. The first and second jaw are rotatably coupled to the guide tube in a retractable manner such that a fastener exiting the guide tube separates the jaws and is centered about the axis passing longitudinally through the guide tube.

A curved screwstrip comprising in combination a plastic holding strap and a plurality of threaded fasteners. The plastic holding strap has a greater mass in its top half than in its bottom half so that shrinking after extrusion will tend to have the holding strap adopt a preferred curved configuration.
