An inventive articulating medical stand comprises a lower horizontal support member, a vertical support member, an upper horizontal support member, a tray mounting member and an adhesive medical tray member. The vertical support member is connected to the lower horizontal support member and is capable of vertical height adjustment, and optionally axial rotational adjustment. One end of the upper horizontal support member is connected to the vertical support member and is capable of axial rotational adjustment. The tray mounting member is slideably connected to the upper horizontal support member and is capable of linear adjustment along the longitudinal length of the upper horizontal support member. The tray mounting member is also capable of angular rotational adjustment with respect to the longitudinal axis of the upper horizontal support member. The adhesive medical tray member is removably connected to the tray mounting member and comprises a releasably adhesive component for attachment of medical items. Accordingly, the articulating medical stand is configured such that the adhesive medical tray member can be adjusted through all axes of dimension.

An inventive thermoset viscoelastomeric polymer and adhesive products thereof is provided. In some embodiments, an inventive adhesive product consists essentially of the thermoset viscoelastomeric polymer. In other embodiments, the thermoset viscoelastomeric polymer can be applied to a support member to provide an inventive adhesive product. In still other embodiments, the thermoset viscoelastomeric polymer can be applied to a conventional article to convert the article into an inventive adhesive product. The thermoset viscoelastomeric polymer and products thereof can comprise viscoelastic, adhesive, cohesive and releasability properties. In some embodiments, the thermoset viscoelastomeric polymer and products thereof can comprise cleansability and reusability properties. In further embodiments, the thermoset viscoelastomeric polymer and products thereof can comprise antimicrobial properties.

An inventive flexible medical item container comprises a unique adhesive and cohesive viscoelastomeric thermoset polymer. In preferred embodiments, medical items can be repeatedly releasably adhered to and removed from the top side of the container. In addition, the bottom side of the container can be disposed upon and adhered to an object, such as a medical garment, such that the container can be located proximate or adjacent to a medical, dental or hygienic procedure location. In some preferred embodiments, the container further comprises antimicrobial properties. In some preferred embodiments, the container further comprises cleansability properties.

Hygienic trays adapted to effectively restrain items under hygienic conditions are provided by equipping hygienic trays with an antipathogenic, cohesive and adhesive thermoset overlay provided in the form of an adhesive insert or tray coating. The overlay adhesively restrains emplaced items until manually removed from the overlay by the hygienic user while also providing an unexpected superior antipathogenic environment. The hygienic trays are particularly useful from hygienic applications wherein hygienic conditions and a need to stabilize trayed items against displacement are of a dominant concern. The tray may be of a simple platform design with or without a typical bordering rim which may be adapted for hand carriage or mounted onto another supportive structure.

A viscoelastic material comprises a unique adhesive and cohesive thermoset viscoelastic polymer coated onto a flexible substrate. The polymer can be formed by curing an uncured polymer mix derived from a thermosetting reaction media of a carefully balanced ratio of isocyanate prepolymer, polyether diols, polyether triols and organic plasticizers. The viscoelastic material can exhibit viscoelastic, adhesive, cohesive, releasability, cleansability and antimicrobial properties. In some aspects, the viscoelastic material can be fabricated into a personal protective article. In one embodiment, the personal protective article is a footwear cover.

The invention provides a unique system for providing partition dividers in stowing units (e.g. shelving, trays, and containers). This is accomplished by providing a stowing unit with an adhesive viscoelastomeric thermoset polymer which adhesively restrains a free-standing divider adapted to be removed and repositioned at any desired positon to fit a user's stowing needs. The adhesive polymer is also cohesive and releases both the divider and any stowed items in contact with the polymer via the application of a counteracting removal force sufficient to overcome the adhesive attraction of the polymer. Accordingly, dividers fixedly attached to conventional sectionalized containers are suitably replaced herein by the repositionable divider combination.

A unique flexible container combination comprises a viscoelastomeric thermoset overlay disposed upon a flexible supportive base. Desirably, the viscoelastomeric thermoset overlay possesses exceptional adhesive, cohesive and releasability properties. In some embodiments, the flexible container combination can also exhibit antipathogenic, cleansability and/or reusability properties. The flexible container combination can maintain an adhered stowable item in an immobilized position until intentionally removed therefrom by a user. In some embodiments, the flexible container combination can be folded or rolled into a rolled-up configuration.

A unique transport stabilizing combination for stabilizing items during conditions of movement comprises a viscoelastomeric thermoset overlay disposed upon a vehicular support member. The viscoelastomeric thermoset overlay component of the transport stabilizing combination is desirably viscoelastomeric, adhesive, cohesive, releasable, antipathogenic, cleansable and/or reusable. The vehicular support member is desirably an extension of a vehicle, and the transport stabilizing combination can stabilize a portable item against movement and damage during conditions of movement, such as rocking or during transport.

Stabilizing cosmetic trays adapted to restrain cosmetic items in a steadfast emplaced position are provided by equipping the cosmetic tray beds with a cohesive and adhesive thermoset overlay typically provided by overlaying a bed of the cosmetic tray therewith. The overlay adhesively restrains emplaced cosmetic items until physically removed by force from the overlay by the cosmetic user.

The invention provides a unique thermoset viscoelastomeric reaction product and a container combination comprised of the supportive base equipped with a thermoset viscoelastomer reaction product possessing unexpectedly superior adhesive and cohesive efficacy rendering it especially useful as an adhesive insert in a container combination. The thermoset insert bonds to any suitable supportive structure. The unique viscoelastomeric reaction product inserts adhesively immobilize items placed thereupon and adhesively or permanently bonds to most conventional containers. The tenacious cohesive and adhesive features of the insert allows for inverted stowage of stowed items. Due to the confining adhesive and cohesive attributes of the insert, structural supports of a flexible or solid base without a conventional confining structure provide a unique container combination for the stowed items. Containers equipped with the unique insert also surprisingly provide an aseptic environment especially useful for hygienic applications.

Adhesive viscoelastomer and its use in stabilized storage containers

The present invention provides floor mats possessing antipathogenic, cohesive, viscoelastomeric and adhesive attributes for removing foot and/or sole borne contaminants. A thermoset reaction product derived from a reaction media of a carefully balanced ratio of isocyanate prepolymer, polyether diols and triols, and organic plasticizers effectively provides a floor mat overlay for adhesively retaining and preventing the spreading of foot or sole borne pathogens and other contaminants.

A lighting apparatus is provided including at least one light adhered to a releasably adhesive viscoelastic polymer component. The light may be disposed upon, or at least partially disposed within, the viscoelastic polymer. The viscoelastic polymer component has a unique adhesiveness and cohesiveness, which allows the lighting apparatus to be releasably adhered to a variety of objects. Upon release of the lighting apparatus from an object, the viscoelastic polymer component leaves substantially no residue remaining on the object. The lighting apparatus can then be re-adhered to the object with substantially the same degree of adhesiveness as when originally adhered. In addition, a variety of articles can be adhered to the lighting apparatus, as desired.
