A respirator () having an oral-nasal unit () with a peripheral seal that seals around the nose and mouth of a wearer's face and having an inlet aperture () connectable to a supply of breathable air, and an outlet aperture (). The unit having a rigid insert () with an exterior profile adapted to seat against a correspondingly shaped interior surface of the unit (); an outlet conduit () with a tube adapted to extend through the exhale aperture () of the unit (); and a wing portion () with a through aperture () registering with the unit's inlet aperture (). The outlet conduit () having a bayonet connector () that enables the unit to interchangeably and detachably connect to, a connector formed as part of an exhale aperture of a full-face mask, or of a harness assembly (). The bayonet connector forms an airtight seal between the two.

Respirators

A bayonet connector () suitable for connecting a filter cartridge () or an air supply tube to a respirator (). The bayonet connector () has a tubular male part () and a female part. The male part has a tube () with two or more lugs () formed on it, which engage with engaging ribs () located on an interior sidewall of the female part (), or vice versa. Control unit assembly

Disclosed herein is an in-mask display or feedback system having a lens coupled to a face blank of the mask, the lens covering a facepiece. The feedback system includes a display apparatus coupled to the facepiece, and disposed within an interior of the mask, the display apparatus being powered by a first power source coupled to a housing of the display apparatus. The feedback system further includes a recording device (e.g., a camera) coupled to the face blank, the recording device operable to communicate data (e.g., wirelessly or wired) with the display apparatus. In some approaches, the recording device is powered by a second power source. In other approaches, the first power source provides power to both the recording device and the display apparatus. In another approach, the display apparatus includes an adjustment aperture formed therethrough to allow adjustment of an eye piece housing a display.

In-mask feedback system

A respirator includes a frame, a filter layer, and a face seal member. The frame has an outer side and an inner side. The frame defines an opening therethrough. The filter layer is mounted to the outer side of the frame and covers the opening of the frame. The filter layer is configured to prohibit permeation of aerosol, gas, and/or vapor contaminants therethrough. The face seal member is mounted to the inner side of the frame. The face seal member includes a seal contact area configured to engage a facial surface of a wearer. The face seal member incorporates a phase change material therein. The phase change material is configured to provide localized cooling by absorbing heat emitted by the wearer.

Control unit for a medical device

According to the invention, a safety device for a pre-filled syringe comprises a hollow support body to retain the pre-filled syringe therein, a hollow needle shield that is slidable relative to the support body and guiding means for guiding the movement of the needle shield relative to the support body. The guiding means comprise a guide pin, a guide track and a cut-out adjacent to the guide track. The guide pin protrudes into the guide track and moves within and along the guide track when the needle shield is slid relative to the support body. The cut-out allows a side wall of the guide track to be deflected in a lateral direction perpendicular to a central axis of the safety device.

Safety device for a pre-filled syringe, injection device and injection kit

A safety device suitable for a pre-filled syringe containing a medicament includes a chassis adapted to be affixed to the pre-filled syringe, a deformable flexible outer structure made from a material with a shape memory, and a substantially cylindrical needle shield affixed or integral to the outer structure. The deformed flexible outer structure is capable of advancing the needle shield with respect to the chassis in a distal direction into a position in which the needle shield projects from the chassis in the distal direction. A biasing force for advancing the needle shield originates from a shape memory effect that causes the deformed flexible outer structure to substantially return to its unstressed shape.

Safety device and injection device

An injection device comprises a pre-filled syringe and a safety mechanism for providing needle safety for an injection needle of the syringe. The syringe comprises a barrel containing the liquid and a stopper disposed within the barrel. The needle is attached to a distal end of the barrel. The safety mechanism comprises a substantially cylindrical housing adapted to contain the syringe, a plunger to expel the liquid through the injection needle, and an energizable biasing member arranged between the housing and the syringe. The energized biasing member is capable of biasing the syringe with respect to the housing in a proximal direction and a retaining mechanism for retaining the syringe with respect to the housing in a first retracted position in an advanced position and in a second retracted position.

Injection device

A respirator includes a mask having a body extending between a front edge and a rear edge, and a face seal extending inward from the body. The face seal has a first wall extending from the body and a second wall intersecting with the first wall at a sealing land. The sealing land is configured to contact a user's face to form a continuous circumferential seal. The face seal is folded over such that the first wall and the second wall both extend away from the sealing land in a common direction. Optionally, the face seal may be U-shaped.

Face seals for respirators and method of manufacturing respirators

A filter mask includes an oronasal cup, an inhalation directional cover, and an exhalation diverter body. The oronasal cup encloses a nose and mouth of a user. The oronasal cup is fluidly coupled with a filter. The inhalation directional cover is configured to be joined to the filter. The inhalation directional cover includes an elongated wing portion that is oriented in an inhalation direction that is angled with respect to the center axis of the filter. The exhalation diverter body is fluidly coupled with the oronasal cup. The exhalation diverter body defines an exhalation duct that directs exhaled air out of the oronasal cup along an exhalation direction. The inhalation direction and the exhalation direction are oriented away from a plane of interaction between the user and another person.
