A modular spa control system includes a first printed circuit board (PCB) and a second PCB. A bus bar, formed of a conductive material and being secured to each of the first PCB and the second PCB, creates an electrically conductive path along a length of the bus bar between the first PCB and the second PCB. A user interface has a housing formed of a bottom housing portion and a top housing portion. At least one of the first PCB and the second PCB is disposed in the housing, and a display is disposed on a top surface of the top housing portion. Controls are also disposed on the top surface of the top housing portion, in proximity to the display. An interface is mountable within a wall shell of a spa unit, so that the display and the controls are disposed on a top portion of the spa wall. Additionally, a pivot member is rotatably supported within the wall shell and configured to support the top housing portion so that it may be swiveled between upright vertical or side orientations.

A spa system comprises an electrically powered heater. The electrically powered heater comprises a heating element capable of drawing a rated current when switched on to an AC line voltage. An electronic control system is programmed to control the heating element to draw less than the rated current.

Spa heater system and methods for controlling

A controller system for a bathing installation such as a spa is disclosed. The system distributes line voltage from a line voltage service to one or more line voltage loads and controls operation of a service system for the bathing installation. The system includes a housing structure, with a controller printed circuit board mounted within the housing. The board includes a plurality of line voltage output terminals for connection to respective line voltage loads via line voltage wiring connections, a set of circuit board line voltage contact surfaces, a plurality of circuit conductors for providing circuit connections between the contact surfaces and respective ones of the line voltage from the circuit board line voltage contact surfaces to the output terminals.
