An automated teller machine comprises a communications module; an image module; a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to receive a first cheque for deposit; engage the image module to capture an image of the first cheque; send, via the communications module and to a server computer system, a signal that includes the image of the first cheque for acceptance; send, via the communications module and to an automated teller machine switch, a signal that includes a request for transaction authorization approval based on the first cheque; receive, via the communications module and from the server computer system, a signal that includes an indication of acceptance of the image of the first cheque; receive, via the communications module and from the automated teller machine switch, a signal that includes an indication of approval of the request for the transaction authorization based on the first cheque; and responsive to receiving the signal that includes the indication of acceptance of the image of the first cheque and the signal that includes the indication of approval of the request for the transaction authorization, return the first cheque.

An automated teller device having accessibility configurations is disclosed. in one aspect, in response to a setting to enable the accessibility keypad mode, the automated teller device operates a session in an accessibility keypad mode. In the accessibility keypad mode a second set of actions is mapped to the keys of the keypad. The second set of actions is different than a first set of actions mapped to the keys of the keypad in a standard keypad mode. The second set of actions comprises one or more of actions for navigation and input selection of the graphical user interface, actions for control of audio being reproduced, actions for control of volume of the audio being reproduced, or actions for control of a rate of reproduction of the audio being reproduced.

Methods and systems for providing physical input at an automated device are described. An automated device provides a sequence of interfaces. The automated device communicates with a server to exchange data, which is used to dynamically populate one or more of the interfaces in the sequence. The interface sequence includes: a physical input type selection interface providing an option to provide physical input; a physical input request interface requesting physical input; a physical input processing interface indicating processing; a data value confirmation interface showing determined value for the physical input; a summary interface indicating restrictions for an account; a data update processing interface indicating further processing; an acknowledgement interface indicating the account was updated to reflect the physical input; and an record preview interface providing a preview of a session record.
