An agricultural application system can include a nozzle assembly positioned along a boom assembly and can be configured to selectively dispense an agricultural product therefrom. One or more sensors can be operably coupled with the boom assembly and configured to capture data associated with first and second application variables. A controller can be communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors. The controller can include a processor and associated memory. The memory can store instructions that, when implemented by the processor, configure the controller to receive the data associated with the one or more application variables and calculate the spray quality index. The first application variable can have a first scaling factor and a second application variable can have a second scaling factor. The second scaling factor may differ from the first scaling factor.

System and method to quantify spray quality

A system for identifying weeds present within a field includes an imaging device configured to capture an image depicting a plurality of plants present within the field. Furthermore, the system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the imaging device, with the computing system configured to receive the image captured by the imaging device. Additionally, the computing system is configured to identify a stalk of each of the plurality of the plants depicted within the received image. Moreover, the computing system is configured to determine a parameter associated with each identified stalk. In addition, the computing system is configured to identify each plant of the plurality of plants as a crop or a weed based on the corresponding determined parameter.

System and method for identifying weeds within a field during an agricultural spraying operation

The at least one row sensor may generate data indicative of a first surface cleanliness parameter within a worked area of the field positioned aft of the row cleaning device and a second surface cleanliness parameter within an unworked area of the field, the unworked area being outside of the worked area. The controller may be configured to receive the data indicative of the first and second surface cleanliness parameters from the at least one row sensor, and to determine an efficiency of the row cleaning device based at least in part on the first and second surface cleanliness parameters.

A system for adjusting actuator pressure on an agricultural implement includes a fluid-driven actuator configured to adjust a position of a tool of the implement relative to the implement frame, with the fluid-driven actuator defining a fluid chamber. A computing system is communicatively coupled with the imaging sensor. The computing system is configured to receive the image data associated with the field, identify one or more objects within the image data as a target, identify one or more objects within the image data as a landmark, determine a location of the target relative to the landmark, and generate a control command for a second vehicle. The control command includes the location of the target relative to the landmark within the field.

System and method for performing spraying operations with an agricultural applicator

A control system for a double-acting air cylinder of an agricultural implement includes a valve assembly configured to control a base end air pressure and a rod end air pressure of the double-acting air cylinder. The control system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the valve assembly. The controller is configured to determine a target base end air pressure and a target rod end air pressure based on a target force of the double-acting air cylinder and a target damping factor of the double-acting air cylinder. The controller is also configured to control the valve assembly such that a first difference between the base end air pressure and the target base end air pressure is less than a first threshold value and a second difference between the rod end air pressure and the target rod end air pressure is less than a second threshold value.
