Described herein are systems and methods for providing stateless management and storage system resource limitation of tenants of a container orchestration system, such as Kubernetes clusters in a Kubernetes orchestration system. The storage system resources accessible by the tenants are determined. Role-based Access Control (RBAC) and Quality of Service (QoS) limits of the tenants are defined and stored as files in a repository accessed by an authorization proxy server. The authorization proxy server through the files, verifies and authorizing the tenants to access the storage system resources.

Method and system for stateless software control plane to manage storage access and resource limits

Methods and a system that back up container-based applications running on an information handling system. Configurations are collected of the container-based applications. Volumes are determined as to the container-based applications as found in storage with persistent volumes. The container-based applications are quiesced, while clones of the volumes are created that are used by the container-based applications. A backup is performed using a data mover for each volume of the cloned volumes.

An example computer-implemented method includes obtaining, from a user, a software-defined storage deployment request comprising request attributes; determining a software-defined storage deployment policy applicable to the request by processing the request attributes in connection with a set of software-defined storage deployment policies; executing, in a given order, multiple rules contained within the determined software-defined storage deployment policy, wherein executing each of the multiple rules comprises modifying at least a portion of a list of storage resources associated with the user by performing one or more actions as prescribed by the rule in conjunction the request attributes; generating a software-defined storage deployment plan based on the execution of the multiple rules; and performing at least one automated action based on the generated software-defined storage deployment plan.

Policy-based automated generation of software-defined storage deployments

Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for automated resource selection for software-defined storage deployment are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes obtaining a software-defined storage deployment request from a user, the request comprising an amount of total storage capacity and a minimum number of servers; generating an in-memory data structure of at least a portion of an inventory associated with the user, wherein the inventory comprises servers and disks associated with the servers, and wherein the data structure organizes the inventory based on disk size and disk count per server; calculating, using at least the data structure, total storage capacity for each of multiple combinations of disk sizes and disk counts across the servers; determining at least one of the combinations, based on the total storage calculations, that satisfies the request; and performing at least one automated action based on the combination(s) determined to satisfy the request.

Described embodiments provide systems and methods for providing closed-loop Information Technology (IT) issue remediation. At least one host state change is discovered. Events to be generated and persisted as a result of discovering the at least one host state change are calculated. The events are sent to a user for approval by the user or to be declined by the user. For each event one of an approval of the event or a rejection of the event is received. A workflow is executed for the approval or rejection of the event.
