A method of mixing a fluid includes at least partially unfolding a collapsible bag bounding a compartment, the collapsible bag containing in the compartment at least a portion of an elongated drive line or drive shaft and an impeller secured to the drive line or drive shaft, the impeller including a plurality of impeller blades that are pivotable relative to the drive line or drive shaft, at least one of the plurality of impeller blades being in a collapsed position. A fluid is delivered into the compartment of the collapsible bag. The drive line or drive shaft is then rotated so as to rotate the impeller within the compartment and mix the fluid therein, the at least one of the plurality of impeller blades pivoting from the collapsed position to an expanded position as the impeller is rotated within the compartment.

Methods for mixing a fluid with foldable impellers

A fluid mixing system includes a container, such as a flexible bag, bounding a compartment. A flexible drive line is disposed within the compartment, the drive line having a first end rotatably connected to a first end of the container and an opposing second end rotatably connected to a second end of the container. At least one mixing element, such as an impeller, can be coupled with the flexible drive line. Rotation of the drive line facilitates rotation of the impeller within the container.

A method for operating a bioreactor includes passing a drive shaft into a first tubular connector and a second tubular connector projecting from the first tubular connector, the first tubular connector and the second tubular connector being at least partially disposed within a container, the first tubular connector being more flexible than the second tubular connector, the second tubular connector having a length that comprises at least 20% of a combined length of the first tubular connector and the second tubular connector. Rotating the drive shaft so as to rotate the first tubular connector and the second tubular connector within the container.

Methods for operating a bioreactor with impeller assembly and related bioreactors

A facility for facilitating processes for acquiring intellectual property assets ('assets') is described. In some embodiments, the facility enables an organization operating the facility to generate a budget for a proposed acquisition of assets. The organization may include multiple entities that are together interested in acquiring the assets. The entities may each provide values for the assets, either by applying rules that automatically attribute values to the assets, by having human analysts manually analyze the assets to estimate their values, or by some combination of these two techniques. The facility generates the budget based on the values determined for the assets. A person or team of people responsible for the proposed acquisition of assets can use the budget in negotiations to acquire the assets. If the assets are acquired, the facility can allocate acquisition and post-acquisition expenses among the entities on whose behalf the assets were acquired.

Acquiring intellectual property assets

A bioreactor includes a flexible container and an impeller assembly having a hollow tube. The impeller assembly is coupled to the flexible container. At least one mixing element is removably disposed on the hollow tube. A drive shaft is adapted to engage the hollow tube of the impeller assembly and facilitate rotational movement of the hollow tube.
