Examples described herein relate to an authentication management system and a method for managing authentication of a user between an enterprise-level authentication protocol and a cloud-native authentication protocol. The authentication management system may receive an authentication request from an application hosted on a private on-premise network to authenticate a user using the enterprise-level authentication protocol. The authentication request is generated by the application upon receiving an access request from the user via a software as-a-service (SaaS) cloud platform in a cloud-native authentication protocol. Further, the authentication management system may generate an authentication response compliant with the enterprise-level authentication protocol based on an authentication reply that is formatted in compliance to the cloud-native authentication protocol and received from a cloud-native identity and authentication management system based on the authentication request. The authentication management system may then send the authentication response to the application.

Embodiments described herein are generally directed to integration of multiple services across multiple clouds within a unified IAM control plane. According to an example, an MSP provides (i) a user interface through which users of multiple tenants are able to configure permissions for and access multiple resources of a set of services associated with a hybrid cloud; and (i) a unified IAM control plane across the set of services, each of which potentially uses a different IAM protocol or scheme. A centralized IAM service is maintained by the MSP containing information regarding the permissions for the resources. Multiple service integrations for the set of services are supported by the MSP, including providing a first set of APIs that facilitate a direct integration with the unified IAM control plane in which the centralized IAM service maintains access control information for resources associated with a first service of the set of services.

Example implementations relate to calculating a weighted efficiency index. An example implementation includes fetching a public resource utilization metric and a public cloud resources cost. A private resource utilization metric is collected and a private cloud resources cost is calculated. A weighted efficiency index is calculated from the public cloud resources cost, the private cloud resources cost, or any combination thereof, and a weighted deviation from an ideal resource utilization percentage. The weighted efficiency index may be displayed on a user interface.

Platform runtime abstraction can include creating a number of template models within a platform where the number of template models correspond to a provider mode and creating a number of abstraction layers that allow a provider to plug into the platform at runtime where the provider includes a provider sub-system and the provider model. Platform runtime abstraction can also include allowing the provider to plug into the platform at runtime through one of the number of abstraction layers wherein the provider remains independent of the platform and where the provider remains independent of a platform hardware infrastructure and a platform operating system infrastructure.

A system includes a cloud computing system. The cloud computing system includes a continuous delivery system to enable design and deployment of a cloud service in the cloud computing system. The cloud computing system also includes a cloud services system to enable access and consumption of a service offering associated with the cloud service by a user. The cloud computer system further includes a cloud service management system that is executed on a non-transitory computer readable medium. The cloud service management system can integrate the continuous delivery system and the cloud services system over the cloud computing system to provide the design and the deployment of the cloud service and publication of the cloud service to the cloud services system.

A deployment manager () analyzes an application requirement for the given application () based on the application model () and policies () associated with the given application () to substantially match infrastructure resources () in the cloud () to fulfill the application requirement.

An example method includes receiving a platform-independent template for managing settings of a plurality of applications or operating systems of a computing device, creating, based on the received template, a profile for managing settings of one of the plurality of applications or operating systems of the computing device, deploying the created profile to the computing device to manage the settings of the one application or operating system of the computing device, and receiving a report on whether the settings of the one application or operating system of the computing device were successfully managed by the created profile.

A computer-implemented method, in a given computer, of identifying at least one current speaker among at least three participants of a network-based collaborating system. The participants collaborate using a plurality of computers. The method includes receiving a first speech event signal at the given computer, the first speech event signal being generated by a first computer of the plurality of computers, the first speech event signal being generated responsive to voice input by a user of the first computer. The method further includes identifying, using the given computer and responsive to the receiving the first speech event signal from the first computer, to a user of the given computer an identity of a user of the first computer as a first current speaker.
