A motor grader having ride control for dampening machine bounce using a DCM assembly rotatably coupled to and suspended from a frame of the motor grader is disclosed. Each lift cylinder for the DCM may have an associated ride control circuit with an accumulator, a ride control conduit fluidly connected to a carry end of the lift cylinder and having a flow restriction element, and a ride control accumulator valve fluidly connected to the accumulator and the ride control conduit and operable to either block or allow fluid communication between the carry end and the accumulator through the flow restriction element. Each rid control circuit may also include a head end valve fluidly connected to between the head end of the lift cylinder and a low pressure fluid reservoir and operable to block or allow fluid communication between the head end and the low pressure fluid reservoir.

Motor grader suspended mass ride control

A hydraulic system for a motor grader is disclosed. The hydraulic system may include a first hydraulic subsystem and a second hydraulic subsystem. A pump may be configured to provide pressurized fluid to the first and second hydraulic subsystems. The hydraulic system may further include a control valve located upstream of the first and second hydraulic subsystems. The control valve may be configured to vary a standby pressure of pressurized fluid for use by the first and second hydraulic subsystems.

Hydraulic system for a motor grader

A hydraulic circuit for a pair of cylinders of an articulation system includes a pump, a reservoir, a directional control valve (DCV), a pair of actuator valves (AVs) and an articulation charge circuit (ACC). The DCV is fluidly coupled to the pump, the reservoir and the pair of cylinders via a supply line, a fluid return line and a pair of cylinder supply lines (CSLs) respectively. Each CSL has a load check valve (LCV) therein. The AVs are fluidly coupled with the DCV and the pump via a pilot supply line (PSL) for actuating movement of the DCV. The ACC, associated with the PSL and each cylinder supply line downstream of the associated LCV, charges a corresponding CSL with fluid from the PSL for increasing a pressure in the corresponding CSL when the pressure in the corresponding CSL falls below the pressure of fluid associated with the PSL.

Articulation system for an earthmoving machine

A hydraulic system is provided for a steering system of a vehicle. The hydraulic system includes a pump that supplies pressurized fluid during an operation of the steering system. The hydraulic system also includes an accumulator that is in independent and selective communication with each of the pump and the steering system. When the pump is in the operational state to support the operation of the steering system, some of the fluid may be routed into the accumulator and stored in the accumulator for later use. In the event of failure of the pump when the steering system is in operation, the accumulator provides the required amount of fluid to continue operation of the steering system until charge in the accumulator depletes to a value that is no longer sufficient to support operation of the steering system.
