A portable electronic device (PED) holder for a passenger seat back. The PED holder includes a backstop pivotally attachable to the seat back and a shelf pivotally attached to the backstop. In use, the backstop is configured to rotate to a position outside of a recess formed in the seat back and the shelf is configured to rotate open. When the PED holder is fully deployed, the shelf is substantially horizontal and an angle formed between the backstop and a vertical axis is no greater than about negative 45 degrees, such that when a tray table is stowed the closing motion of the tray table causes the shelf to fold against the backstop and the folded PED holder to rotate into the recess. The present disclosure further provides a passenger seat including the PED holder and a PED holder assembly installable as a kit of parts.

A portable electronic device (PED) holder for being mounted to a structure such as a passenger seat backrest. In embodiments, the PED holder includes a socket, a hollow partial-cylinder rotatably disposed in the socket, and an adjustable clamp mounted in the hollow partial-cylinder. The hollow partial-cylinder and the socket interact via a guide mechanism configured to control rotation of the hollow partial-cylinder relative to the socket. In embodiments, the adjustable clamp is mounted to a base and includes first and second arms, at least one of which is spring-loaded. In some embodiments, an electromagnetic induction coil may be disposed in the base.

The present disclosure provides a seat layout for business class in an aircraft. The layout includes a first row of seats that are angled toward a centerline, and a second row positioned directly behind the first row of seats, the second row including seats that are laterally adjacent and parallel to the centerline. Each seat includes a console positioned to one side of the respective seat, wherein the consoles of the first row form footwells for the seats of the second row. The seats in the second row are grouped to form a sharable space for passengers traveling together. The disclosure further provides a seat layout for a widebody aircraft including a sharable space positioned at the aft end of the center column.

An aircraft seat may include an integrated controller feedback system. The controller feedback system may include a user interface device at least partially embedded within an armrest console of the aircraft seat. The user interface device may include a control panel, one or more buttons, one or more sensors, and/or a controller. The one or more buttons may indicate a controllable feature of the feedback system. The one or more sensors may be aligned with the one or more buttons and may be able to distinguishably detect a user touch from a user press. The controller may be in communication with the one or more sensors. The controller may generate one or more feedback signals in response to a user touch, and/or generate one or more activation signals in response to a user press.

A lavatory door including an ashtray is disclosed herein. The lavatory door includes a door panel having a first side and an opposing second side and the ashtray disposed within the door panel. The ashtray includes a first outer panel disposed along the first side of the door panel and configured to move away from the door panel, a second outer panel, opposite the first outer panel, disposed along the second side of the door panel and configured to move away from the door panel, and a bottom surface extending from the first outer panel to the second outer panel.

A locking assembly of a lavatory door in an aircraft, comprising: a locking mechanism; and an occupancy indicator. The occupancy indicator is configured with a display that enables viewing of a status of the lavatory of availability or is occupancy. The position of the locking mechanism and occupancy indicator has been changed from a higher location on the lavatory door that approximates a line-of-sight from a standing position at the lavatory door to a lower location that approximates the line-of-sight from a seated position at the lavatory door. The display of the occupancy indicator is configured with a plurality of display angles to display the status comprising at least a first display angle to allow viewing from the line-of-sight in the standing position and at a second display angle to allow viewing from the line-of-sight in a seated lower position at the lavatory door.

An aircraft lavatory monument is provided that includes a first lavatory including a first door providing access to the first lavatory from an aisle of an aircraft; a second lavatory proximate the first lavatory, the second lavatory including a second door providing access to the second lavatory from the aisle of the aircraft; and a movable wall disposed between the first lavatory and the second lavatory, the movable wall including a latching mechanism positioned on an exterior edge of the movable wall and accessible from the aisle of the aircraft, where the latching mechanism, responsive to being in a locked position, causes the movable wall to be positioned at a first position separating the first lavatory from the second lavatory and providing privacy therebetween, and where the latching mechanism, responsive to being in an unlocked position, allows the movable wall to collapse thereby forming an enlarged bathroom space.

A self-deploying counter for an aircraft monument is disclosed. In embodiments, the monument is installable adjacent to a cabin space within an aircraft passenger cabin (e.g., on either side of an exit door) and the self-deploying counter includes a partition door capable of being pivoted between a default closed position and an open position extending into the cabin space. The self-deploying counter has a horizontal top surface and an undersurface. When the partition door is deployed, the counter pivots in concert with the door's deployment, the fully deployed position corresponding to the open position of the partition door.

A seat usage prevention device is disclosed. The seat usage prevention deice includes at least one device component being configured to interact with one or more seat components of a first seat. The device component is configured to prevent usage of at least one of a seat pan or seatback of the first seat. The device component further separates a second seat from at least a third seat, wherein the third seat is proximate to at least one of the first seat or the second seat. The seat usage prevention device may include a device component that further includes a cushion, a base, an amenity console, or a vertical separator, or combination thereof.

An integrated hand cleaning system includes a hand cleaning housing including dispensing spout and a sensor. An actuator is operatively connected to the housing. A cleaning substance reservoir is in fluid communication with the dispensing spout. A controller is operatively connected to the sensor and to the actuator. The controller is configured to activate the actuator based on detection of a user's hand by the sensor. A method for controlling a hand cleaning system includes receiving, with a controller, a sensor signal from a sensor in a hand cleaning housing. The method includes activating an actuator of a hand cleaning system with the controller based on the sensor signal.
