Rotating bracket for linear lighting

A linear luminaire includes a rigid channel having at least one compartment. At least one strip of LED linear lighting is disposed in the at least one compartment. A pair of endcaps adhere to and cover end faces of the channel to close ends of the at least one compartment. Neither of the pair of endcaps has any structure protruding into the at least one compartment of the channel. A resin fills the at least one compartment of the channel. A method for making the linear luminaire includes damming the at least one compartment of the channel with the pair of endcaps and filling the at least one compartment with the resin.

Endcap and method for making luminaire with endcap

A combination outlet connector is disclosed. The combination outlet connector includes an outlet core having three T-shaped apertures. The outlet core has a core outer surface to mate with a first connector type, such as a C14 connector, and electrical terminals are positioned in corresponding apertures. A removable adapter sleeve is positionable around the outlet core and has a sleeve outer surface to mate with a second connector type, such as a C20 connector. The adapter sleeve includes a sleeve aperture at least partially congruent with the core outer surface. The electrical terminals are configured to connect with mating terminals of the first and second connector types. A removable adapter shroud can be positioned around the outlet core. The shroud includes a shroud inner surface to receive the first connector type and a shroud flange having a shroud aperture at least partially congruent with the core outer surface.

Combination outlet and power distribution unit incorporating the same

A rotating bracket includes an endcap, a fastener, a support, a spacer, and securement structure. The endcap is adapted to fit an end of a linear lighting channel and has a keyed opening. The fastener has a keyed shank complementary to the keyed opening of the endcap and is adapted to be inserted into the endcap with the keyed shank of the fastener engaging the keyed opening of the endcap. The support has a slot or opening adapted to accommodate the fastener. The spacer is adapted to insert over the fastener such that it is positioned between the endcap and an inner face of the support. The securement structure engages the end of the fastener beyond an outer face of the support. Linear luminaires using the rotating bracket are also disclosed.

A power distribution unit including a plurality of outlet cores arranged along an outlet panel of a housing and mounted to one or more circuit boards with an unobstructed space between adjacent pairs of the plurality of outlet cores. The outlet cores each extend a portion of the distance between the circuit boards and the outlet panel, and the outlet panel includes a plurality of apertures each corresponding to an associated one of the plurality of outlet cores. One or more overcurrent protection devices are mounted in a non-outlet panel aligned along the length of the housing.

Power distribution unit system incorporating smart cables and adapters

A linear luminaire includes a three-sided enclosure with a top that is at least translucent and a pair of depending sidewalls spaced apart by the top. The three-sided enclosure may be extruded from a plastic or, in some cases, co-extruded with two different materials so that the pair of sidewalls can be made of an opaque material. The three-sided enclosure may be open along a bottom aspect. An elongate rigid printed circuit board (PCB) carrying LED light engines is installed between the pair of sidewalls in slot structure defined on respective inner faces. The PCB may carry connecting structure staggered along the length of its underside. The PCB may also carry circuit components on its underside.

Linear luminaire

A linear luminaire having high ingress protection includes a light-generating assembly and a channel. The light-generating assembly is an elongate, self-contained, sealed optical assembly that includes all elements necessary to generate light and to direct, focus, or modify the generated light in a particular way. Typically, the light-generating assembly would include an outer optical element and a light source positioned within a cavity of the body of the light-generating assembly. The outer optical element may be a lens, diffuser, or other such element. The light source may be a strip of LED linear lighting, a string of connected LED modules, or any other suitable device. The light-generating assembly may optionally include a second optical element, such as a lens or diffuser, that is supported within the body. The ends of the body of the light-generating assembly may be sealed by fitted endcaps, by polymeric resin, or by other means.

Linear optical system with ingress protection

An under-counter lighting system places a light-guide panel (LGP) or a set of LGPs under a countertop, or another such work surface, in order to backlight it. Specifically, a base layer is secured to a support, such as a cabinet. The base layer includes a support layer and a number of support posts attached to the support layer. An LGP layer includes the LGP or LGPs. Each of the LGPs has openings that correspond to positions of the support posts, such that the LGPs receive the support posts through their thicknesses. A countertop is secured to the tops of the support posts and may have a depending lip or other such feature sufficient to hide the base layer and the LGP layer. The resulting light, usually at least partially transmitted through the countertop itself, can serve as ambient light, task light, or accent light, depending on the installation.

Under-counter lighting system

Systems and apparatuses are provided in which outlets are coupled to a power distribution unit (PDU) or PDU module in various configurations. The outlets may be coupled to a recessed surface within a PDU housing. The outlets and recessed surface may be formed as part of a single mold. The outlets may be coupled to a printed circuit board that is at least partially disposed within the PDU housing. The outlets may extend away from the recessed surface or printed circuit board towards or beyond a front face of the PDU housing.

High outlet density power distribution unit

A linear luminaire includes a channel with a bottom and sidewalls that arise from opposite sides of the bottom. A printed circuit board (PCB) including a number of LED light engines is mounted in the channel, and may be mounted on stand-offs away from the bottom of the channel. A mounting bracket is connected to an underside of the channel bottom. The linear luminaire also includes a base that can serve as a raceway for wires and cable. The base also has a bottom and sidewalls, and attaches releasably to the channel by means of cooperating engaging structures on the mounting bracket of the channel and portions of the sidewalls of the base.

LED linear luminaire

Systems, methods, and devices are provided in which cord storage cartridges are removably connected to a power distribution unit (PDU). The cord storage cartridge may include a cartridge housing having at least one aperture, a PDU interface associated with the cartridge housing and configured to removably connect the cord storage device to a mateable interface of the PDU, and a power output cord having a proximal end in electrical communication with the PDU interface and a distal end coupled with an output connector that is configured to connect to electronic equipment. The power output cord may be stowed at least partially within the cartridge housing in a retracted state and moveable through the at least one aperture to an extended state at least partially external to the cartridge housing.
