Provided are wellbore treatment fluids and methods to introduce these treatment fluids in a subterranean formation. The treatment fluids include a diverter material and an aqueous carrier fluid. Further, the diverter material comprises a composite material of a polyvinyl alcohol and a plasticizer. The diverter material includes particles having a particle size distribution of about 2 to about 10 U.S. mesh and an aspect ratio of 20:1 or less. The treatment fluid is introduced into a permeable zone of a subterranean formation, wherein the permeable zone is part of a wellbore that is permeated or penetrated by fractures and fissures. The diverter material diverts at least partially the treatment fluid to a different portion of the subterranean formation.

Accordingly, this disclosure describes systems, compositions, and methods that may use pelletized diverting agent particulates for diversion, fluid loss control, and/or other subterranean treatments for controlling fluid flow in subterranean formations. In an embodiment, a method comprising: introducing a treatment fluid into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation wherein the treatment fluid comprises: a base fluid; a pelletized diverting agent comprising a degradable polymer, wherein the pelletized diverting agent at least partially plugs a zone in the subterranean formation; and diverting at least a portion of the treatment fluid and/or a subsequently introduced fluid away from the zone. In an embodiment, a treatment fluid comprising: a base fluid; and a pelletized diverting agent comprising a degradable polymer.

A method of producing natural resources from a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation with a Huff and Puff process comprising: (a) placing a recovery enhancing fluid system into the wellbore during an injection (Huff) period of time wherein placing the recovery enhancing fluid system comprises injecting under pressure; (b) ceasing injection of the recovery enhancing fluid system and allowing the composition to soak in the subterranean formation for a soak period of time; (c) producing fluids from the subterranean formation during a production (Puff) period of time; and (d) optionally repeating steps (a) to (c) for a plurality of Huff, soak, and Puff periods of time, respectively.

Method and process of use of binary compositions for acidizing subterranean formations

Certain aspects and features relate to a system that projects an optimized foam-fluid-application scenario for to stimulate production from a hydrocarbon well. The optimized scenario can include a recommended chemical make-up for the foam entity as well as application parameters such those related to timing and duration. A hybrid discrete fracture network and multi-porosity (DFN-MP) model for fluid interaction with the formation where the well is located can be produced by a processing device. The hybrid DFN-MP model can be optimized using field simulation data for the formation. The optimized hybrid DFN-MP model can be used by the processing device to produce an optimized foam-fluid-application scenario, which can be communicated to at least one well and can be utilized to stimulate the well for increased production.

Methods and systems employing a flocculation polymer and microparticulates. The flocculation polymer flocculates the microparticulates to form micro-aggregates for use in forming complex fracture networks. Additionally, the flocculation causes the flocculation polymer to be removed from a treatment fluid due to its interaction with the microparticulates, thereby effectively cleaning the flocculation polymer from a subterranean formation. Individual microparticulates are synergistically used alone or in the presence of a de-aggregating agent to enhance complex fracture networks.
