A medical system includes a source of a material, a first tube, and a second tube. The material is configured to expand and form a porous body after the material is deployed into a body lumen. The first tube is configured to deliver the material into the body lumen, and the second tube is configured to apply suction to the porous body.

Medical systems, devices, and related methods

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices and medical device delivery. In particular, the present disclosure relates to medical devices, systems, and methods for delivering a barrier device within a body lumen of a patient, such as the GI tract. For example, a barrier device may include a distal self-expanding stent. A tubular barrier may have a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therethrough. The distal stent may be disposed at the distal end of the tubular barrier. An anchoring self-expanding stent may be disposed at the proximal end of the tubular barrier.

Barrier devices, systems, and methods

A medical device for treating a body lumen, such as a medical stent, includes an expandable scaffold configured to shift from a radially collapsed state to a radially expanded state. The stent includes a coating disposed along the outer surface of the expandable scaffold in which a portion of the coating includes a plurality of anti-migration members and one or more preferential separation regions. Each preferential separation region is configured to permit first and second regions of the coating to separate from one another along the preferential separation region therebetween as the expandable scaffold shifts from the radially collapsed state to the radially expanded state.

Stent including anti-migration capabilities

An implantable device having an adjustable passage therethrough. The passage may be adjustable to occlude or otherwise to regulate access or flow of materials therethrough. An elongated element may be inserted into the passage when in a closed configuration to selectively open the passage. For instance, the implantable device may be a tubular device with a twisted region closing the passage therethrough, and the elongated device may be configured to engage such twisted region and to be rotated to untwist the closed region. An additional tubular device with a passage therethrough may be inserted into the passage of the implantable device to hold open the passage for a selected period of time.

Devices, systems, and methods for adjusting a passage through an implantable device

This disclosure relates generally to the field of devices and procedures for forming an opening between adjacent tissue structures. For example, in an embodiment, a system for forming an opening between body lumens may include a delivery catheter. A first access element may be configured to be positioned against a first body lumen disposed about a distal end of the catheter. A second access element having an outer diameter that substantially matches an outer diameter of the first access element may be disposed about the distal end of the catheter. The second access element may be configured to be positioned against a second body lumen and axially aligned with the first access element. A filament may be electrically coupled to one or both of the first and second access element.

Devices, systems, and methods for forming an opening between body lumens

A bipolar ablation device for treatment of a stenosis within an implanted metallic stent may include an elongate shaft slidably disposable within an endoscope, the elongate shaft including at least one electrode configured to form a first pole of the bipolar ablation device, and an electrode lead slidably disposable within the endoscope. The electrode lead may be configured to electrically engage the implanted metallic stent to form a second pole of the bipolar ablation device. The elongate shaft may be positionable within a lumen of the implanted metallic stent.

Devices and methods for inducing ablation in or around occluded implants

A medical device may include a handle and a flexible sheath extending from the handle. The sheath may include a first chamber configured to receive a first agent and a second chamber configured to receive a second agent. Each of the first chamber and the second chamber may be disposed in a distal portion of the sheath. The sheath may also include a first piston received within the first chamber and a second piston received within the second chamber and at least one actuation element configured to transmit a force from the handle to each of the first piston and the second piston. In a first configuration, the first agent may be maintained within the first chamber and the second agent is maintained within the second chamber. In a second configuration, the first agent may be released from the first chamber to mix with the second agent.

An example medical stent for treating a body lumen is disclosed. The example stent includes an expandable scaffold having a first end region, a second end region and an outer surface. The stent further includes a first fixation member coupled to the expandable scaffold and a biodegradable material disposed along the first fixation member at a first tissue engagement region. Further, the biodegradable material is designed to degrade from a first configuration in which the biodegradable material shields the first fixation member from a target tissue site to a second configuration in which the first fixation member is engaged with the target tissue site.
