An adjustable support arm capable of providing users with a wide range of height, depth, tilt, and swivel options. The adjustable support arm may comprise an arm assembly releasably mounted to a base assembly. In further embodiments, the adjustable support arm may also comprise an articulating joint connected to the arm assembly, and an accessory bracket assembly connected to the articulating joint. A quick-release joint comprising a spring-loaded pivot latch may be utilized to releasably connect the arm assembly to the base assembly. To dampen side-to-side movement of the arm assembly, the adjustable support arm may also comprise a friction cartridge assembly comprising a taper-lock bushing and one or more set screws. A ring-shaped, adjustable panning insert can be coupled to the arm assembly to restrict the range of side-to-side motion of the support arm. The adjustable arm can further comprise a quick-release accessory fastening mechanism for easy removal and attachment of a mounted object (e.g., an electronic display, keyboard, or other item) to the support arm.

A linear jack includes a coarse nut threadedly coupled to a first rotating screw and a first sleeve movable with respect to the coarse nut (the first rotating screw, the first sleeve, and the coarse nut collectively a high-speed assembly), and a second sleeve threadedly coupled to a second rotating screw (the second sleeve and the second rotating screw collectively a low-speed assembly). The coarse nut is movable to a first position where the coarse nut is held from rotating with the first rotating screw—e.g., via a dog clutch—to convert rotational motion of the first rotating screw into translating motion of the coarse nut and the first sleeve. The coarse nut is movable to a second position where the coarse nut is free to rotate together with the second rotating screw and the first rotating screw with respect to the first sleeve.

The coarse nut is configured to operate in a second mode where the coarse nut rotates with the first rotating screw so that only the low-speed assembly operates to extend the second sleeve.

An extracorporeal blood filtering machine can include a blood circuit, an effluent circuit, and a source fluid circuit and can be controlled by a controller. The extracorporeal blood filtering machine can also include access ports for connecting the source fluid circuit to the blood circuit, as well as blood sensors to detect possible issues with the extracorporeal blood filtering machine. The extracorporeal blood filtering machine can include density sensors and flow sensors that enable it to be more accurate and to operate while being transported. The extracorporeal blood filtering machine can further include a user interface and can display fluid inflow/outflow information. A medical fluid container can automatically empty after being filled. An apparatus for supporting a medical fluid container can include a hanger and an attachment member with the apparatus able to adjust to ensure the medical fluid container remains properly oriented directly under a medical fluid container scale.

A blister strip advance mechanism includes: an indexing gear train; drive mechanism configured to drive the indexing gear train; and a hub including a recess shaped to engage a first blister of a blister strip, the hub being rotatable by the indexing gear train to engage the first blister in the recess and move the engaged blister strip such that a second blister is moved to a dosing position at which the second blister can be emptied; wherein the indexing gear train is configured to temporarily disengage the drive mechanism from the hub when the second blister is in the dosing position. Also disclosed is a dosing mechanism including the blister strip advance mechanism; an inhaler including the dosing mechanism; a method for advancing a blister strip; and a method for dosing a medicament including the method for advancing a blister strip.
