Mounting apparatuses for turbine airfoils of turbine systems are disclosed. The mounting apparatuses may include a body portion configured to be at least partially positioned between a first airfoil and a second airfoil of the turbine system, and an adjustable, first retention component formed on a first side of the body portion. The adjustable, first retention component may be configured to contact a portion of a suction side of the first airfoil of the turbine system. The mounting apparatuses may also include a second retention component formed on a second side of the body portion, opposite the first side. The second retention component may be configured to contact a portion of a pressure side of the second airfoil of the turbine system.

Mounting apparatuses secured to turbine airfoils of turbine systems

A system for determining eccentricity of a turbine shell and a turbine rotor of a gas turbine includes a laser module with a microprocessor having coupled thereto a wireless network chip, a laser sensor, an inclination sensor, and a power supply. The laser sensor transmits a laser toward the turbine shell as the rotor spins at slow speed and to receive a reflected laser from the turbine shell, thereby defining a path length indicative of a distance between the laser module and the turbine shell for each of a series of points disposed circumferentially around the turbine shell. The system further includes a bracket configured to hold the laser module proximate to a turbine blade; a base station that produces a wireless network near the turbine shell and that receives distance measurements from the laser module for each of the series of points; and a server for processing the distance measurements into an eccentricity plot.

System and method for measuring eccentricity of turbine shell relative to turbine rotor

A system and method for determining eccentricity of a casing and a rotor of a gas turbine includes a plurality of stationary distance detectors coupled to the casing at known circumferential positions and a rotating distance detector coupled to the rotor or a blade in or near an axial plane defined by the stationary distance detectors. The stationary distance detectors transmit wireless signals to one another to determine a first series of distance measurements between each pair of stationary distance detectors. The rotating distance detector transmits wireless signals to each of the stationary distance detectors, as the rotor is spun, to generate a second series of distance measurements. The measurements are transmitted, over a wireless local area network, to a remote computing device that processes the distance measurements into an eccentricity plot. An optional base station may be used to generate the wireless network.
