A fitting splice plate connects a cable tray fitting to a cable tray section. The fitting splice plate includes a guard extending in an outboard direction from a second longitudinal portion of a plate body adjacent a first longitudinal portion of the plate body. The guard is adjacent one of an upper side and a lower side of the second longitudinal portion. The fitting splice plate may include both upper and lower guards.

A cable tray section includes first and second side rails, each side rail having opposite longitudinal ends and a length extending between the opposite longitudinal ends. A splice member is secured to one of the first and second rails adjacent one of the longitudinal ends. The splice member includes at least one opening configured to receive a fastener to connect the splice member to another splice member of another cable tray section to attach the two cable tray sections together. The at least one opening has an axis extending along the length of at least one of the first and second rails.

A clamp device includes a clamping plate having a first side portion that is sized and shaped for reception into a channel defined by a bottom channel portion of one of the rails of the cable tray. The clamping plate has a second side portion configured for fastening to a cable tray support such that the bottom channel portion of the rail is clamped between the clamping plate and the cable tray support. The use of the clamp device increases the load-bearing capacity of the cable tray assembly over an identical cable tray that does not include the clamping plate.

A guide body for a cable guide includes a stem having an upper end, a lower end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the upper and lower ends, and base adjacent the lower end of the stem. The guide body is rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the stem to configure the base from an unlocked orientation relative to the wire basket cable tray, in which the base is receivable in and removable from a floor opening of a wire basket cable tray, and a locked orientation relative to the wire basket cable tray, in which the base is secured to the wire basket cable tray in the floor opening. A snap-fit component attaches a roller retainer to a stem body by snap-fit connection when a roller is received on the stem body to retain the roller on the stem body.
