A suspending agent composition comprising (i) a fast hydrating guar gum and (ii) a high molecular weight polysaccharide, wherein the suspending agent composition has a rheological coupling ratio for yield point ranging from about 1 to about 2 when placed in an aqueous solution at a concentration of equal to or less than about 0.5 grams/deciliter and a ratio of about 90 weight percent (wt. %) fast hydrating guar gum and 10 wt. % high molecular weight polysaccharide. Cementing in a subterranean formation may include, activating an extended-life cement composition by mixing at least the extended-life cement composition with a liquid activated pozzolan additive comprising a carrier fluid and an activated pozzolan, wherein the extended-life cement composition comprises water, pumice, hydrated lime, and a set retarder; introducing the extended-life cement composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the extended-life cement composition to set to form a hardened mass in the subterranean formation.

Preparing a cement slurry may include, mixing at least a raw pozzolan and a passivated cement solution, wherein the passivated cement solution comprising cement hydration products; reacting at least a portion of the raw pozzolan with the cement hydration products in the passivated cement solution to produce an activated pozzolan; drying the activated pozzolan; and blending the activated pozzolan with a cement.

Method for enhancing reactivity of pozzolanic materials

Preparing a cement slurry by mixing at least water and a cement dry blend, wherein the cement dry blend comprises a cement and an activated pozzolan; and introducing the cement slurry into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation; and allowing the cement slurry to set to form a hardened mass.

A system and method including modeling wellbore conditions and plug properties to predetermine the dissolution time of a plug under wellbore conditions for use in a well operation. The system and method provide an estimate of how long a dissolvable plug will remain viable based on its composition and the conditions in the wellbore. Once a plug has been selected or once wellbore conditions have been determined, the plug and/or conditions can be tested in the lab to confirm suitability prior to use downhole.
