A system for monitoring touch events in a cockpit display includes one or more user monitoring devices including eye tracking sensors and body tracking sensors. The system includes a controller including a touch event algorithm configured to determine inadvertent touch events. The controller may receive eye gaze and body movement data of the user viewing the display. The controller may receive the spatial-temporal touch event data and compare the spatial-temporal touch event data with touch event signature data in a touch event signature database. The controller may determine whether the received user touch input is an inadvertent touch event. Upon determining the user touch input is an inadvertent touch, the controller may perform a first set of avionic system actions and upon determining the user touch input is an intentional touch, the controller may perform a second set of avionic system actions.

System and method for monitoring touch events in a cockpit display

A system includes an optical transmission layer configured to allow a first luminance of illuminated images output from a display to pass through the optical transmission layer at a given time and to allow a second luminance of the illuminated images output from the display to pass through the optical transmission layer at another given time. The system further includes a processor and a memory with instructions that cause the processor to receive the tracking dataset, generate a distortion map based on the tracking dataset and a distortion function, receive a media stereo image, generate a stereo signal based on the distortion map and the media stereo image, and transmit the stereo signal to the display. The system is capable of conveying an image to an operator in the absence of a relay lens.

The present invention is a process for performing a planarization treatment of pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA). The process includes positioning a first substrate onto a support surface of a planarization tool. The process further includes placing at least one layer of PSA onto the first substrate. The process further includes positioning a second substrate onto the layer(s) of PSA. The process further includes applying a pressure to the second substrate via a flexible membrane, said pressure being applied in a generally uniform, unidirectional and localized manner. A system and method are disclosed employing a dielectric mirror layer, highly reflective at wavelengths below a cut off but highly transparent at wavelengths above the cut off, is placed within a display assembly. This dielectric mirror layer creates a very efficient reflecting cavity for a portion of a Light Emitting Diode (LED) pumping spectrum. Accurate dielectric filter tuning allows an increased portion of the pumping spectrum to be converted to desired wavelength spectrum and also raise the luminance ratio of the display to a useful value for display applications. Variable and active tuning of the cut off wavelength value functions to optimize system performance.
