A fascia mounted railing system that uses brackets that secure the posts to the slab while also providing base support for the infill panels without the use of a base rail. It does this by using a bracket to secure the posts and a second bracket that fits within the bottom of the post. This bracket has end flanges that extend outwardly from the post to support an infill panel. The infill panels can have a base treatment to conceal the face of the slab, if desired, for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. In addition, the system has the capacity for a top railing that can be attached to the back of the posts as a grab rail, or attached to the top of the posts (with a bracket) for a top rail.

A stanchion base shoe support for railings. The stanchions are set into a concrete slab or curb during the construction. Only the top surface of a mounting plate is exposed prior to mounting the base shoe extrusion. The stanchion is constructed from steel or a similar material. A flange plate at the top of the stanchion provides an easy place to mount a temporary support member when placing the stanchion into the concrete formwork. The stanchion system eliminates all field drilling of concrete. The stanchions have a top plate and cylindrical members that have a set of internal threads. After the concrete is cured, workers apply a base shoe, securing it to the stanchions. This makes drilling and securing the base shoe simpler, easier and more accurate. Once the base shoe is installed, the railing system is built up in the normal manner.

The present invention provides for a glass barrier system including at least one post adapted to support at least one piece of glass above a base structure, such as a concrete slab or a masonry wall. The post is connected with a support member extending from the base structure. In one embodiment, aluminum posts are supported by steel members embedded into and extending from concrete so as to suspend the aluminum posts above the concrete. Some embodiments of the present invention also utilize a glazing bead to help hold the glass in place with respect to the posts. The glass barrier system can also include a rail connected with the glass.

Barrier system

An improved railing/wall system for elevated slab balconies. The system uses a number of fascia brackets to secure posts to the outer face of the elevated slab balcony. The posts have a base track secured to them. Infill panels are then placed between the posts to provide the wall structure. A top rail can be used to cover the top of the infill panels. The lower portion of the infill panels also can be tinted to conceal the face of the concrete balcony, if desired. The infill panels can be selected from a group of materials, including tempered glass, pickets, expanded metal, perforated metal, metal cut with water jets or a composite material.

Fascia-mounted aluminum railing system

A base shoe that uses a simple internal clamp system that makes initial installation and removal a very simple process. This system eliminates the need for grout and costly wedge systems. Stainless setscrews are mounted in one of the vertical legs of the base shoe and spaced at some interval. The stainless setscrews exert force on a stainless steel and neoprene compression plate, which exerts force on the glass panel. The opposite side of the glass panel then seats against a neoprene compression pad/setting block. This system allows for very easy glass installation, makes minor glass adjustments very simple, and allows for glass removal with a turn or two of the setscrews. Another important feature of this design is that the end users can insert temporary panels, such as wood, that can be installed as a temporary railing while the jobsite is waiting for the glass panels.

Structural glass railing base shoe design

A curved railing system that does not use curved infill panels and has a continuous curved top rail. It uses a series of posts that follow the desired curve. The posts have a bottom rail and space to hold infill panels that may be glass, solid panels, perforated panels, vertical pickets, or cables. All of these infill panels are straight panels that are not curved. A special post cap is installed on the posts. The post cap has pivoting articulating brackets that are used to support and align glass channels. The top rail is a continuous length of railing that matches the desired curve. The top rail is placed over the posts and glass channels. In this way, the entire assembly produces a curved rail design at a lower cost and with less labor than a conventional curved rail.

Articulating balcony railing system

A glass rail design in which the glass infill panels extend vertically beyond the top rail. To achieve this, a new vertical post system has to be created. These vertical posts hold the glass panels in front of the posts. To do this, each post has an extruded form extending forward of the post. The glass panels fit into the extruded form. The top rail is attached to the top of the posts and then runs behind the glass panels. The tops of the panels are covered with a protective cap.

An ornamental guardrail system that has an improved base assembly, which allows water and debris to escape from the deck surface. The system uses a mounting arrangement that supports the glass panels above the surface of the deck without using full-height posts. This mounting arrangement makes a structural glass railing useful in many types of construction projects that require the surface water to sheet flow under the railing system, or to achieve a certain visual style.
