An image projection apparatus includes laser light sources that each emit laser light; a beam combiner combining the laser lights; a beam deflector periodically changing a traveling direction of the combined laser lights and directing the laser lights to a screen; and a controller controlling a drive current supplied to the laser light sources based on a relationship between the drive current and a total light intensity outputted from the laser light sources, in which the total light intensity comprises three ranges, the controller supplies the drive current to the laser light sources when the laser lights are emitted in the total light intensity included in either the first or the third range, and the controller supplies the drive current to at least one or some of the laser light sources when the combined laser lights are emitted in the total light intensity included in the second range.

Image projection apparatus

A laser optical device is provided with a plurality of laser light sources, a collimating lens that has an optical axis that intersects a line connecting the plurality of laser light sources in a plan view viewed from a direction perpendicular to both this line and the optical axis and collimates lights respectively emitted from the plurality of laser light sources, and a deflecting element that deflects a plurality of lights emitted from the collimating lens so output lights where the lights respectively emitted from the plurality of laser light sources are optically processed make contact.

Laser optical device and image projection device

A lens driving device includes a lens holder for holding a lens, a supporter portion for supporting the lens holder in a movable manner, a drive portion for driving the lens holder, and an elastic portion for supplying the lens holder with a force in a predetermined direction. The supporter portion includes a shaft engaging with a bearing of the lens holder, and the force in a predetermined direction includes a force in a direction perpendicular to the shaft and a force in a direction to rotate the lens holder about the shaft.

Lens driving device and optical disc apparatus

There is provided an optical pickup apparatus in which the assembling workability such as chucking of an LD holder by an adjusting jig and spreading of adhesive can be improved. In the optical pickup apparatus, multiple fitting portions (boss portions)formed on one of a side wall surfaceof a slide baseand an LD holderare fitted loosely into respective multiple fitted portions (hole portions)formed in the other one so that an adjustment spacerequired for adjustment of a laser diodeis ensured between each fitting portion and fitted portion. This allows the LD holderto be fixed temporarily to the side wall surfaceof the slide basewith the laser diodebeing adjustable freely, resulting in an improvement in the assembling workability such as chucking of the holder by the adjusting jig and spreading of adhesive.

Optical pickup apparatus

An optical pickup includes a lens frame, and the lens frame includes protruding portions provided with through-holes, coil connecting portions protruding away from a supporting-wire holding portion at corners. The coil connecting portions are provided with cutout portions constituted by two surfaces intersecting each other at the both side surfaces of the coil connecting portions in order to form waist portions at a wound portion. Supporting wires are overlapped with the lead wires wound around the waist portions of the coil connecting portions when viewed from above and connected to these wound lead wires with solder. With this configuration, it is possible to provide an optical pickup which enables connecting the terminated portions of the wound coil lead wires and the supporting wires with a reduced amount of solder, thereby reducing the weight and the cost.

Optical pickup

Wires are inserted through a layer of a damper material filling a space provided in a fixed side support member. The space is formed by a groove shaped cavity, while the front part of the groove shaped cavity is provided with an opening surrounded by a groove shaped surface and a columnar section. The damper material filling the space contacts closely with the groove shaped surface and the columnar section within an opening.

An optical pickup of an optical disc apparatus has a lens holder for holding an objective lens is pivoted with a guide shaft slidably in a direction in parallel with an optical axis of the objective lens and rotatably around the guide shaft in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis. For focusing a laser beam on a data recording face of an optical disc in a focusing on operation, a wobble signal of rectangular waveform having a predetermined voltage and a predetermined frequency is applied to a tracking coil for reciprocally displacing the lens holder in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, while a focusing coil is driven for moving the lens holder in the direction in parallel with the optical axis. Thus, the lens holder can be moved smoothly along the guide shaft, so that the possibility of failure of the focusing the laser beam on the optical disc can be reduced drastically.

Optical disc apparatus

An optical pick-up includes a lens holder and a lens holder supporting portion. The lens holder has a focusing coil, a tracking coil, and a pair of nickel plates arranged to sandwich the focusing coil from the top and the bottom. The lens holder supporting portion includes a pair of permanent magnets having their magnetic poles of the same polarity opposite to each other and sandwiching the lens holder as seen in two dimensions. A sidewall of a slide hole is pressed against a slide shaft. Thus, a disk drive which can suppress a jerky motion of the lens holder when it moves along the slide shaft with a simple mechanism is provided.

Disk drive

An optical pickup in which a substantially L-shaped retaining seat having an inclined side surface and an inclined end surface which are orthogonal to each other is formed on one side surface of a light passage hole formed in a housing, a groove is formed between the inclined side surface and the inclined end surface, while a positioning seat is formed on the other side surface of the light passage hole. An adhesive agent is injected between each of both end portions of a half mirror, which is disposed in an inclined state on the both seats, and each of the seats and into the groove. The width of an opening portion of the groove is set to be larger than the width of an depth portion of the groove.

Apparatus for fixing a half mirror of an optical pickup and optical pickup

An objective lens has an actuator base and a lens holder for supporting an objective lens. The lens holder has a shaft hole. A shaft is disposed on the actuator base and fitted to the shaft hole. A cover is attached to the actuator base so as to cover the lens holder in a manner that the cover comes into contact with or comes close to the top face of the shaft. Protrusions are disposed on an actuator base opposing face and a cover opposing face of the lens holder without contacting the shaft. When the protrusions are contacted with the actuator base and the cover, a predetermined gap is formed between the lens holder and the actuator base and between the lens holder and the cover, the gap is communicated with a space in the cover through the side of the protrusions.

Objective lens unit

In a biaxial actuator for an optical pickup, rising pieces are bend-formed on a base member on which a lens holder having an objective lens is placed in such a way as to be able to displace in a focusing direction and in a tracking direction. The strength of the base member is increased by setting the width of the bend-formed portion at the root of each of the rising pieces in such a way as to be larger than the width of any other part of the associated rising piece. Preferably, the shape of a side elevation section of each of the rising pieces is set to be a trapezoid.

Biaxial actuator for optical pickup and optical pickup

An actuator for an optical pickup apparatus includes an actuator base member having a pair of yoke portions rising up from a base portion as well as a pair of magnets respectively secured to inner side surfaces of the yoke portions, a yoke member having a pair of yokes rising up from a baseplate portion. The yokes are respectively inserted in a pair of insertion holes of the base portion, and the baseplate portion is superposed on the base portion. The yokes are bonded to the base portion by an adhesive, and the baseplate portion is secured to the base portion by a fixing member.

Actuator for an optical pickup apparatus and method of producing an actuator for an optical pickup apparatus

Four filling recessesare formed on an inner peripheral surface of a fitting groove, which is formed concentrically with a light passage hole in a holder, at intervals of 90 degrees in a circumferential direction. A bottom surfaceof each filling recessis inclined from one end faceof the holdertoward a lens receiving seat, such that a longitudinal sectional shape of each filling recessis formed in a substantially triangular shape.

Object lens unit

An objective lens unit has a reinforcing frame portions formed along an outer peripheral surface of each of a pair of tracking coils by applying an epoxy resin adhesive to portions between a lens holder and the outer peripheral surface of each of the tracking coils. Reinforcing core portions are formed by filling the epoxy resin adhesive into a central hole of each of the tracking coils, and a reinforcing connecting portion is formed by filling the epoxy resin adhesive into a gap defined by the lens holder, each of the tracking coils, and a focusing coil.
