An acoustic system includes: a charging apparatus, and speakers that are chargeable with the charging apparatus. The speakers include: a speaker unit that generates a sound based on the first electrical signal, and a power reception coil that is configured to be disposed to have at least a part of it overlaps with the extension line of the central axis of a power transmission coil of the charging apparatus and generates electric power to be supplied to the speaker unit with a magnetic flux generated by a power transmission coil.

In the present invention, a digital electroacoustic transducer apparatus with a noise canceling system includes: a signal processing circuit that generates a digital processing signal based on a digital signal from a sound source; a first voice coil that receives the digital processing signal; a microphone that picks up noise and generates a noise signal; a noise canceling circuit that generates a cancel signal based on the noise signal; and a second voice coil that receives the cancel signal, the first voice coil and the second voice coil driving a diaphragm, thereby avoiding a difference between the phase of the cancel signal and the phase opposite to that of noise.

A semiconductor device includes a connector configured for connection to a host, a power circuit supplied with a first voltage from the host via the connector, the power circuit including first and second channels configured to generate second and third voltages, respectively, from the first voltage, a semiconductor memory supplied with the second voltage via the first channel, and a controller for the semiconductor memory, supplied with the third voltage via the second channel. When the first voltage is less than a first threshold, the power circuit turns off the first channel and the second channel.

According to one embodiment, there is provided a memory system that is connected to a host apparatus. The memory system includes a transmitting port and a controller. The transmitting port transmits a transmission signal to the host apparatus. When a disc is driven at a low speed, the number of tracks crossed by a beam spot of an optical pickup (3) is determined as the number of crossing tracks corresponding to an amount of mass eccentricity of the disc. If this number of crossing tracks exceeds a first threshold value, the disc is rejected as a non-conforming disc. When the disc is driven at a high speed, the number of tracks crossed by the beam spot is determined, a value remaining by subtracting the number of crossing tracks at the low speed from the number of crossing tracks at the high speed is determined as an amount of vibration produced owing to a mass eccentricity of the disc. Thus, a disc drive which can make an extremely precise detection of a magnitude of vibration resulting from the mass eccentricity of the disc without using a sensor component for detecting the vibration can be provided.

A multi-band receiver for receiving broadcast signals divided by frequencies into an FM group and a TV group, the TV group including at least two different frequency ranges separated by a substantial frequency gap. The receiver includes a band selector for selecting a desired frequency group from the two group, a tuning controller for selecting a desired broadcast frequency within the desired group from a predetermined tuning band, an oscillator for separating signals of the desired frequency from the received broadcast signals and converting the separated signals into audio signals and a frequency adjuster responsive to the band selector and the tuning controller for automatically adjusting the oscillation frequency of the oscillator when the TV group has been selected for substantially removing the frequency gap from the predetermined tuning band.
