Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising (E)-3,5-dihydroxy-7-&lsqb;4&prime;-4&Prime;-fluorophenyl-2&prime;-cyclopropyl-quinolin-3&prime;-yl&rsqb;-6-heptenoic acid, or its salt or ester, of which the aqueous solution or dispersion has pH of from 6.8 to 8. The composition has good time-dependent stability and has no change in its outward appearance even after having been stored long.

Stable pharmaceutical composition

An electrotherapeutic device for passing a DC electric current through a living organism by applying a voltage to the living organism includes a battery with an internal resistance which is high enough so that changes in the resistance value of the living organism can be disregarded. Excessive flow of current is avoided even when the resistance of the living organism fluctuates. The device is safe, easy to handle, and inexpensive. It is particularly suited for use with iontophoresis; a technology by which drugs are administered using electricity.

Electrotherapeutic device

A wound-healing preparation is composed of 50-90 wt. % of a sugar, 0.5-10 wt. % of povidone-iodine, and 1-20 wt. % of water. A buffer is also contained in an amount sufficient to adjust the pH of the preparation to 3.5-6. Preferably, the preparation may additionally contain 0.1-5 wt. % of an agent for imparting an appropriate consistency and stability, which is selected from polysaccharides and derivatives thereof.

Wound-healing preparations

An antiinflammatory analgesic ointment comprising: (a) an antiinflammatory amount of indomethacin; (b) a medium consisting of a hydroxy compound in the range of from 15 to 85% by weight, water in the range of 30 to 55% by weight and a gelating agent being present in an amount sufficient to effect gelation of said ointment and selected from the group consisting of a cellulose compound and a carboxyvinyl polymer which has been neutralized with aqueous ammonia or an amine; (c) an adjuvant being present in the range of from 0.5 to 5% by weight and selected from the group consisting of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alcohol ester of a C.sub.4 -C.sub.14 monocarboxylic acid and a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alcohol diester of a C.sub.4 -C.sub.10 dicarboxylic acid; and (d) water in an amount sufficient to make up the balance of the ointment, said ointment being adjusted in its pH from an acidic to slightly basic level sufficient to solubilize said indomethacin in the composition but not too basic a pH level to cause decomposition of said indomethacin.

Antiinflammatory analgesic gelled ointment

A pharmaceutical preparation for endermic application is disclosed which comprises indomethacin and at least one solubilizer selected from the group consisting of a C.sub.10 terpenoid and a C.sub.10 phenol.

Pharmaceutical preparation for endermic application

An antiinflammatory analgesic gelled ointment is disclosed which comprises indomethacin, a medium consisting of a glycol, alcohol and water, a gelling agent selected from cellulose and a carboxyvinyl polymer which has been neutralized with an amine, and water sufficiently enough to make up the balance. Such gelled ointment has an excellent antiinflammatory activity.
