An automatic chemical analyzer comprising an extractor for extracting the desired sample from a plurality of liquid samples, a measuring valve for measuring out a fixed quantity of the extracted sample, a plurality of reagent storage tanks each storing a different kind of reagent according to the analysis intended, a plurality of reagent pumps equal in number to the number of reagent storage tanks, each of said plurality of reagent pumps being connected to each of said plurality of reagent storage tanks for drawing the reagents out of the reagent storage tanks, a reaction device comprising a plurality of reaction tubes for containing the samples and reagents, a reagent selector located between the pumps and the reaction device, said selector connecting a specific reagent pump to the reaction device according to the type of analysis.

Automatic chemical analyzer

A rotating valve body and a fixed valve body, said rotating body and fixed body having radial surfaces in sliding contact. The radial surface of the rotating body is provided with one or more internal sampling outlet ports arranged on the circumference of a circle having a center coincident with the axis of the rotating body. The side wall of said rotating body is provided with one or more external sampling inlet ports. Pairs of unlike ports are connected by ducts in said rotating body. The external sample inlet ports are connected to a sample tube, or tubes or sample suction tube or tubes which rotate together with the rotating valve body. The radial surface of the fixed valve body is provided with a single internal sample inlet port located the same distance from the axis as the internal sample outlet ports. The internal sample inlet port is directly linked to two ports in the sidewall of the fixed valve body by two ducts which join together at the internal inlet, said ducts being connected to a reagent tank via a sampling pump, changeover valve, reagent pump, and a reaction beaker via said changeover valve.

Sampling device

An automatic analyzing apparatus comprising a rotatable reaction device, a plurality of reaction tubes, said reaction device stepwise rotated by a driving means whereby a reaction tube is advanced through a plurality of functional positions, that is, at the initial position of the rotatable reaction device a liquid sample is supplied to a reaction tube together with a first reagent, at the second position the sample and first reagent are stirred, at the third position a second reagent is supplied to said reaction tube, at the fourth position the sample, and first and second reagents are stirred, at the fifth position, the stirred mixture is optically measured, at the sixth position the optically measured mixture is drained off, and at the seventh position the empty reaction tube is washed and rinsed before being returned to the original position where the next liquid sample is supplied.

Automatic analyzing apparatus

An analyzing apparatus which automatically and sequentially analyzes a large number and variety of chemical samples which are divided into a plurality of fractions, whereby each sample is simultaneously tested with different chemicals under suitable reaction conditions. The system operates under pressurized closed flow conditions, that is to say, the solution flow lines are compressed with an inert gas, whereby the formation of air bubbles in the flow system, oxidization of samples, reagents, the rise of noxious fumes, are prevented.
