A breathing device includes a ventilator, which is arranged on an end surface of the control unit provided with a connector on an opposite side of an output shaft of a rotating machine so as to protrude from an inside of the electric power steering device toward an outside of the electric power steering device, and is configured to provide a breathing action through ventilation between the inside and the outside. The ventilator protrudes in a horizontal direction or upward with respect to the horizontal direction.

In an electric power steering device in which a control unit and a motor are integrated, when the control unit is housed in a case, although a frame, by which the motor and the control unit are compartmentalized, is required, there have been problems in that the case is deformed by a pressure which influences the case when the frame is provided, and a position accuracy of a shaft center of a rotation shaft of the motor is worsened. Therefore, in order to reduce a deformation of the case, a step portion is provided at an inner wall surface of the case and the frame is contacted to the step portion, and moreover, a connecting portion is provided between an outer circumference portion of the frame and an inner circumference portion of the case, whereby a movement of the frame is restrained.

Provided is an electric power steering device, including: a motor; and a control device, wherein the motor includes a case having a cylindrical shape, wherein the control device includes: a housing having a cylindrical shape, wherein the case and the housing are coupled to each other in a state in which an outer peripheral end portion at one end portion of the case and an outer peripheral end portion at one end portion of the housing face each other, wherein a first sealing material is disposed between the case and the housing, wherein a connector is disposed between the case and the housing, wherein a second sealing material is disposed between the housing and the connector, and wherein a part of the first sealing material and a part of the second sealing material adhere to each other.

A multiplex multiphase winding AC motor includes an armature iron core provided with a plurality of teeth and a plurality of slots, an armature winding provided with two or more groups of multiphase windings that are wound around the teeth and are contained in the slots, a plurality of motor driving apparatuses independently connected with the two or more groups of multiphase windings, and a magnetic-field-pole iron core provided with a plurality of magnetic-field poles arranged in such a way as to face the armature iron core through a gap; in the magnetic-field-pole iron core, a plurality of magnetic resistance elements for impeding a magnetic-flux flow in the circumferential direction thereof are formed.

Rotor with flux barrier for reducing flux generated by winding inductance

A rotor core of a rotor includes: a plurality of protrusions formed on at least a step-skew boundary side; and a tubular non-magnetic ring mounted on outer peripheries of a plurality of permanent magnets so as to cover the boundary. The non-magnetic ring includes a plurality of inner diameter bulging portions. Each of the permanent magnets and each of the protrusions are brought into abutment against the corresponding inner diameter bulging portions.

Permanent magnet type motor and electric power steering apparatus

In a permanent magnet motor, projections each include a second projecting portion and a first projecting portion separated away from a side surface of a permanent magnet. When the first projecting portion has a total length L1 in an axial line direction and a height t1, and when the second projecting portion has a total length L2 in the axial line direction and a height t2, (L1&#xd7;t1)&#x3e;(L2&#xd7;t2) is satisfied. As a result, the permanent magnet motor capable of reducing vibration noise of the motor by reducing irregular rotation, reducing decrease in motor torque, and further reducing increase in motor physical size can be obtained.

Permanent magnet motor

A stator core for a rotating electrical machine includes an annular yoke portion; a tooth group fitted to an inner side of the yoke portion and formed such that both ends in a circumferential direction on an inner circumferential side of adjacent teeth are integrally connected with each other by a thin connection portion; and a slot for accommodating a stator winding. The yoke portion has grooves at regular intervals in an inner circumferential surface thereof and extending in an axial direction of the stator, the grooves each having a V shape such that a cross section thereof perpendicular to the axial direction opens toward an inner side of the stator core. Each tooth has, at an outer-circumferential-side end thereof, a fitting portion whose cross section perpendicular to the axial direction is formed in a wedge shape so as to allow the tooth to be fitted along the corresponding groove.

Permanent magnet type motor

A stator core includes an inner ring core composed of a plurality of teeth arranged in the circumferential direction and a connection portion connecting inner circumferential portions of the plurality of teeth; and an outer ring core to be joined to an outer circumferential surface of the inner ring core. Slots of the stator core each have a circumferential direction width (a) on an inner circumference side smaller than a circumferential direction width (b) on an outer circumference side. A stator coil composed of conductive coils including a plurality of slot accommodated portions and a plurality of coil end portions connecting the slot accommodated portions is inserted and placed in the slots from an outer side in the radial direction of the inner ring core.
