A pull print system includes a printing apparatus (MFP) that executes a print job, a pull print server that spools the print job to be executed as a pull print by the printing apparatus, and an electronic device that sends the print job to the pull print server. The pull print server sends to the electronic device setting information for a job setting being a setting of the print job, and when displaying a setting screen for the job setting, the electronic device displays the setting screen on which the setting information sent from the pull print server is reflected.

Pull print system

Provided is a pull printing system that is capable of improving security performance over that of a typical system. When authentication based on identification information and authentication information of a person providing a transmission instruction from a user terminal is successful, a pull printing server of the pull printing system correlates a printing job from the user terminal with identification information of a person providing an execution instruction from the user terminal, and spools the printing job. When authentication based on identification information and authentication information of a person providing the execution instruction from an MFP is successful, the pull printing server sets the printing job that is related with the identification information of the person providing the execution instruction as a target candidate of pull printing when spooling the printing job that is related with the identification information of the person providing the execution instruction.

Pull print system that improves security performance

In a fault management system, each of one or more image forming apparatuses includes an agent unit that transmits, upon occurrence of a fault, a notice that the fault has occurred and service call information indicative of details of the fault to a fault management server. The fault management server includes a manager unit that transmits a reboot command to the agent unit of the image forming apparatus in which the fault has occurred, upon reception of the notice and the service call information from the agent unit of the image forming apparatus in which the fault has occurred. The agent unit of the image forming apparatus in which the fault has occurred reboots the image forming apparatus in which the fault has occurred, according to the reboot command.

Fault management system

An image output system includes a terminal, a server, and a printing device that are communicable with each other via a network. The server includes: a storage device; and a CPU that executes a program for the server to function as a data generating portion configured to generate raster image data by executing a RIP process on the basis of print data received from the terminal and as a data transmitting portion configured to transmit data for outputting an image, to a destination that outputs the image. The data transmitting portion transmits, to the destination, the print data received from the terminal or the raster image data generated by the data generating portion, according to a kind of the destination.

Image output system

A pull print system includes a print server and a print apparatus. The print server performs a raster-image processor (RIP) process based on print data received as job data from an external apparatus to generate printing image data as raster image data. The RIP process performed by the data generating unit is same as the RIP process performed by the print apparatus. The print apparatus requests to the print server the job data for the user whose login is accepted. The print server transmits to the print apparatus the printing image data of the job data as raster image data.

A remote maintenance system includes: a remote maintenance server; and one or more image forming apparatuses, the server including an operation input unit, a display unit, a storage unit that stores panel programs, a communication unit, an image forming apparatus database in which functions are registered, and a manager circuit that acquires, when a serviceman instructs restoration, the panel program to be restored from the storage unit, analyzes which of the functions is to be invoked by the panel program, compares, by referencing the database, the function of the restore-destination apparatus and the function to be invoked, and determines whether the restore-destination apparatus executes the panel program, and instructs the restore-destination apparatus to restore the panel program when it executes the panel program, each image forming apparatus restoring, when receiving a restore instruction, the panel program based on the instruction.
