In order to obtain an electric rotating machine which can improve rotating machine efficiency by suppressing a harmonic component of rotor magnetomotive force and reducing harmonic core loss, a permanent magnet is furnished in some of inter-magnetic pole portions, the inter-magnetic pole portion being formed between a first claw-shaped magnetic pole portion and a second claw-shaped magnetic pole portion; the shapes of a first chamfered portion and a second chamfered portion, which are provided in the inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is inserted, differ from those of a first chamfered portion and a second chamfered portion, which are provided in an inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is not inserted; and/or the shapes of a first magnetic flux adjusting portion and a second magnetic flux adjusting portion, which are provided in the inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is inserted, differ from those of a first magnetic flux adjusting portion and a second magnetic flux adjusting portion, which are provided in the inter-magnetic pole portion where the permanent magnet is not inserted.

To provide a controller for a rotary electric machine capable of suppressing occurrence of an angle interval when the rotary electric machine cannot output torque, even if the ON angle interval of the switching devices is set smaller than 120 degrees in the rectangular wave control. A controller for a rotary electric machine performs a rectangular wave control to a rotary electric machine which has 2 groups of three-phase windings, with a phase difference between groups; and switches a first control mode and a second control mode according to a switching condition; wherein the first control mode is a mode which sets an ON angle interval to an angle within a range from 120 degrees to 180 degrees; and wherein the second control mode is a mode which sets the ON angle interval to an angle within a range from 90 degrees to 120 degrees.

Controller for rotary electric machine

A first DC/DC converter is of a constant voltage control type and is controlled so as to keep the voltage of an electric generation bus at a predetermined target value. A second DC/DC converter is of a constant current control type and is controlled so as to keep input current or output current at predetermined target current. A control circuit determines an optimum target value of electric generation bus voltage, based on different algorithms, in accordance with all or some of modes A to C which are classified by the charging/discharging condition of a second electric storage device, and controls the first DC/DC converter so that the electric generation bus voltage becomes the determined target value.

A first DC/DC converter is provided between a rectifier for rectifying output of an electric generator driven by an engine, and a battery for supplying power to an in-vehicle load. An automotive dynamoelectric machine that achieves disposing of permanent magnets and thickening of field coil wire by ensuring outlet space for field coil lead wires. In the dynamoelectric machine, trough portions are formed on portions of yoke portions between respective circumferentially adjacent claw-shaped magnetic pole portions. Magnet holders are disposed so as to span over all of the trough portions on a pole core body at a rear end excluding a predetermined trough portion, and permanent magnets are held in each of the magnet holders. Thin film capacitor

A first DC/DC converter is connected to a higher-voltage output terminal of a rectifier by alternator wiring, a battery that supplies electric power to an on-board load is connected to the first DC/DC converter, a second DC/DC converter is connected to the higher-voltage output terminal of the rectifier by alternator wiring, and an electrical double-layer capacitor is connected to the second DC/DC converter.

Dynamoelectric machine and method for manufacturing a rotor therefor

The present invention provides a dynamoelectric machine that enables heat that is generated in a permanent magnet to be transmitted to a fan and be radiated from the fan effectively, that suppresses occurrences of damage to the fan that result from centrifugal forces that act on the permanent magnet, and that also enables the fan to be prepared easily and inexpensively. In a dynamoelectric machine according to the present invention, a magnet holder () that is made of a magnetic material is disposed so as to span over a trough portion (), an interfitting groove () that has a groove direction in an axial direction is formed on the magnet holder () so as to open radially outward, and so as to lead inward from an axially outer side, and a permanent magnet () is held by the magnet holder () by being fitted into the interfitting groove () and is disposed so as to face an inner circumferential surface near a tip end of claw-shaped magnetic pole portions () and have a predetermined clearance. In addition, a metal fan (A,B) is fixed to an end surface of a pole core body (), a thermally conductive plate () is disposed so as to extend from a base portion () axially inward, and a leading end portion thereof is press-fitted between a lower surface of the permanent magnet () and a bottom surface of the interfitting groove ().

An automotive dynamoelectric machine that achieves disposing of permanent magnets and thickening of field coil wire by disposing trough portions on yoke portions and disposing magnet holders that hold the permanent magnets so as to span the trough portions to ensure outlet space for field coil lead wires. In the dynamoelectric machine, trough portions are formed on respective portions of yoke portions between circumferentially adjacent claw-shaped magnetic pole portions, a magnet holder is disposed so as to span over a trough portion, and a permanent magnet is held by the magnet holder. A lead wire is led out of a rotor from a field coil so as to pass through a space that is bounded by the trough portion and the magnet holder.

Automotive dynamoelectric machine

The present invention provides a dynamoelectric machine that enables permanent magnets to be held stably in trough portions that are formed on portions of a yoke portion that are positioned between adjacent claw-shaped magnetic pole portions. First and second permanent magnets that are magnetically oriented in a reverse direction to a magnetic field that originates from a field coil are fitted into and held by interfitting grooves of the first and second magnetic guidance members so as to face inner circumferential surfaces near tip ends of second and first claw-shaped magnetic pole portions so as to have a predetermined clearance.
