In a battery mounting structure for a vehicle that includes a battery box mounted on an under-floor side of a vehicle body floor, the battery box includes: a battery pan on which a battery is placed; an outer peripheral frame formed to project from an outer peripheral edge portion of the battery pan; a cover placed on the battery pan from above; and sealing means provided in a joint portion between the battery pan and the cover, wherein the sealing means is disposed above the outer peripheral frame and positioned further inside than an outer periphery of the outer peripheral frame in plan view.

A head mechanism of a thermal printer includes a platen roller rotatably supported by a housing, and a thermal head arranged at a front end of a head bearing member the front end of which is adapted to be rotatable about a rear end supported by the housing, and arranged to face the platen roller, and is constructed such that, during recording, a sheet provided for recording is sandwiched between the platen roller and the thermal head, and an electric current is selectively applied to heat-generating elements arranged in the thermal head, thereby obtaining desired recording. The thermal head and the platen roller are arranged to form a gap with a dimension smaller than the thickness of the sheet provided for recording during non-recording.

Head mechanism of thermal printer

A line thermal printer includes a platen roller and a line thermal head including a plurality of heating elements. The heating elements are disposed to face the entire area of a recording sheet in a width direction of the recording sheet and selectively generate heat. The recording sheet is interposed between the platen roller and the line thermal head. The line thermal printer performs printing at the interposed position on the recording sheet by the selective generation of heat of the heating elements while the recording sheet is moved. The line thermal printer includes a foreign material blocking member. The foreign material blocking member is disposed upstream of the interposed position to come in contact with an upper surface of the recording sheet, and prevents foreign materials, which are placed on the upper surface of the recording sheet, from being moved toward the interposed position.

Bumper beam

An apparatus for feeding and discharging of the recording paper printed over the entire page is disclosed. A pair of paper guide members are disposed in the vicinity of the lateral ends of the ink ribbon drawn from the ribbon outlet port respectively so as to project from the wall plate of the cassette body in the direction in which the ink ribbon is drawn. The pair of paper guide members is formed with a surface inclined in such a manner that the projecting length decreases from the projecting top to the base of the paper guide member toward the lateral center of the wall plate.

In conventional cartridges, the image receiving tape is formed as a roll of long tape, which is taken up by a tape supply roll and accommodated in a case, so that the image receiving tape after printing becomes curly; when or after separating the separation tape of the image receiving tape, it tends to, for example, become inclined when glued to a predetermined place, thus making it difficult to handle. In view of this, in the cartridge K of the present invention, the recording member 16 is formed as a strip and accommodated in a second case 12 in a flat state, whereby the recording member after recording does not become curly, thereby making it easier to handle.

In a vehicle having a roof groove, which extends in the longitudinal direction along each side of its roof panel, and a roof rail attached to the roof groove, the number of components for attaching the roof rail can be reduced to facilitate the mounting operation for the rail. The roof rail (1) is formed integrally from a synthetic resin, comprising a rail body (2), front and rear end legs (3) protruding downward from the rail body, an intermediate leg (4), and a molding unit (5) connecting the respective lower end portions of the legs (3, 4) together. The molding unit (5) includes a cover section (5a) covering the top of the roof groove (8) and a ridge (5b) fitted in the groove (8). The respective heads of fixing bolts (9) are fixedly embedded in suitable positions in the bottom portion of the ridge (5b). The roof rail (1) is attached to the roof groove (8) by inserting the fixing bolts (9) individually into mounting holes (8a) in the base of the groove (8) and tightening the bolts (9) by means of nuts (10) from the inside of the vehicle.

A curl straightening device for removing a curl from a paper sheet which is caused during printing by a printer. The curl straightening device includes a supporting platen which supports a curled paper sheet after printing is performed on a first surface of the paper sheet, a carriage which is reciprocatingly movable along the supporting platen, and a pressing member, mounted on the carriage and positioned on an opposite side of the paper sheet from the platen. The pressing member presses against a second surface of the paper sheet as the carriage moves along the platen so as to remove the curl from the paper sheet which is caused by printing on the first surface of the paper sheet.

The present invention relates to an ink ribbon winding mechanism for a printer which prints with an ink ribbon. It is constructed by disposing a ribbon winding gear, which is connected with an ink ribbon winding shaft through a slipping mechanism, and a detection driving gear for detecting markers for color identification for a color ink ribbon, which is connected directly with the winding shaft, and by locating a transmission gear for transmitting the driving force of a driving source selectively to these two gears between the driving source driving the ink ribbon winding shaft and the winding gear as well as the detection driving gear. The marker for color identification are detected correctly by directly transmitting the driving force from the driving source to the ribbon winding shaft at the detetion of the markers in the color ink ribbon.

A thermal printer which always performs a satisfactory printing operation regardless of whether a ribbon cassette mounted for printing houses an ink ribbon for hot release mode printing or an ink ribbon for cold release mode printing. Hot release mode printing is satisfactory for printing normal printing papers, while cold release mode printing is satisfactory for printing OHP (overhead projection) papers. The printer is capable of sensing the difference between ribbon cassette having an ink ribbon for hot release mode printing and a ribbon cassette having an ink ribbon for cold release mode printing, when mounted on the printer for printing. The printer upon sensing the type of ribbon cassette mounted, then adjusts its components, if necessary, so that they are configured in locations appropriate to perform satisfactory printing according to the type of ink ribbon housed in the ribbon cassette mounted. Alternatives include moving a carriage on which the ribbon cassette is mounted toward and away from a platen against which the paper to be printed is placed, moving the location of the ribbon cassette toward or away from the platen against which the paper to be printed is placed, and moving an arm which may guide the ink ribbon after it passes the thermal head.
