A fixing unit includes a film, a nip forming member, a heating unit, a rotary member arranged to sandwich the film together with the nip forming member, and an end portion regulating member configured to be in sliding contact with the film and to regulate an end portion of the film in the longitudinal direction. The end portion regulating member includes a first surface facing an inner surface of the film, a second surface facing an end face of the film in the longitudinal direction, and a third surface facing an outer surface of the film and configured to regulate the end portion of the film from deforming in a manner separating from the first surface. An entirety of the third surface is disposed on an upstream side of a center position of the nip portion in a conveyance direction of the recording material in the nip portion.

An image forming apparatus includes a drive source, an object configured to be driven by the drive source, and a drive transmission mechanism including a driving member, a driven member, an intermediate member, an urging member, and an actuating portion. The intermediate member is configured to move in an axial direction. A silver halide color photographic material can be formed which exhibits good storage stability and provides excellent sharpness and superior color reproducibility by incorporating therein a dye comprising an indole moiety having a methyl group substituted by an electron-withdrawing group at the 1-position and an acidic nucleus which are connected together via a methine chain. The dye is typically provided in a light-insensitive layer in the form of a solid dispersion. Specific embodiments include the combination of the indole-containing dye with a magenta dye, fogged silver halide grains, a DIR compound or a mercaptoheterocyclic compound.

Silver halide color photographic material

Disclosed is a silver halide color photographic material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, in which at least one layer constituting the material contains a coupler of formula (I): ##STR1## where R.sub.1 represents an electron-attracting substituent having a Taft's substituent constant .sigma.* value of +0.52 or more; R.sub.2 represents a branched alkyl group; and X represents a pyrazolyl group. The material has excellent heat stability, sensitivity, gradation and color image fastness, and it also has excellent color forming capacity and absorption characteristics.

Disclosed is a silver halide color photographic material having at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a support and containing at least one coupler of formula (I): ##STR1## where R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group, provided that both R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are not hydrogen atoms at the same time; R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 each represent an alkyl group; X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of splitting off by coupling with an oxidation product of a developing agent; Y represents a substituent; n represents 0 or 1; and m represents an integer of from 0 to 3. The material has excellent sensitivity and gradation and has improved storage stability, especially latent image stability.

There is disclosed a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing a dye which colors a specific layer in the light-sensitive material and furthermore is quickly decolored and/or eluted during a development processing. There is also disclosed a methine dye represented by the above formula (1), (2) or (3).

A silver halide color negative photosensitive material comprises at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta coupler and at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow coupler formed on a transparent support, wherein it contains 4.times.10.sup.-4 to 3 g, per m.sup.2 of the support, of a ferromagnetic fine powder and that the green-sensitive emulsion layer contains a coupler such as ##STR1## The photosensitive material makes it possible to shorten a printing time and has an excellent sharpness.
