A resin sheet that is unlikely to be affected by heat and allows prevention of the occurrence of a crack is provided. A glass fiber cloth-like material is dipped into an epoxy resin solution and subjected to curing, thereby obtaining an epoxy resin-based sheet including the glass fiber cloth-like material. The resin sheet has a haze value of 10% or lower, and preferably, has a light transmittance of 88% or higher, an in-plane retardation of not more than 2 nm, a retardation in a thickness direction of 40 nm, and a surface roughness of not more than 2 &#x3bc;m.

Resin sheets containing dispersed particles and liquid crystal displays

An epoxy optical sheet comprising a hardened sheet of an epoxy resin and another resin layer formed on one side thereof. The sheet has a retardation of 5 nm or less, an average thickness of 500 &mgr;m or less, a thickness accuracy of &plusmn;10% or less, a glass transition temperature of 170&deg; C. or above, and a smooth surface. The epoxy optical sheet is made by a continuous process which comprises: successively forming a strippable resin layer on a support having a smooth surface; successively spreading an epoxy resin coating solution comprising an epoxy resin, a hardener, a hardening accelerator, and a leveling agent, on the resin layer in the form of a sheet; followed by a hardening treatment, thereby forming a hardened sheet adhering to the resin layer; and, at the same time, recovering the hardened sheet together with the resin layer from the support.

Epoxy optical sheet and process for producing the same

A cured resin plate which is reduced in undulation and has excellent flatness even when having a thickness of 100 &mgr;m or larger or a size exceeding 2 inches; and a process for efficiently mass-producing the resin plate. The process comprises spreading a resinous coating fluid A on a support ( ) having a smooth surface to form an unsolidified or solidified coating layer, spreading thereon a resinous coating fluid B which is the same as or different from the coating fluid A to form two or more superposed layers of the coating fluid B, and solidifying the layers ( and ) separately or simultaneously to thereby form superposed resin layers ( and ) adhered to each other which comprise two or more adjacent cured resin layers ( and ). The multilayered resin plate comprises superposed layers adhered to each other which are composed of a thermoset epoxy resin layer and superposed thereon a thermoset epoxy resin layer having a smaller thickness than that layer. The multilayered resin plate can be continuously produced by the process in which resinous coating fluids are spread. The resin plate can be reduced in undulation because it comprises cured resin layers superposed on each other.

There is provided an optical member having an optical material and a tacky layer provided on at least one surface of the optical material. The tacky layer has an initial adhesive force of not smaller than 400 g per 25 mm based on 90&deg; peeling from a resin substrate and has an adhesive force of not larger than 1000 g per 25 mm after heating at 70&deg; C. for 5 hours. There is also provided a cell substrate made of a resin substrate. The resin substrate has an initial adhesive force of not smaller than 400 g per 25 mm on based on 90&deg; peeling from the tacky layer provided on the optical material and having an adhesive force of not larger than 1000 g per 25 mm after heating at 70&deg; C. for 5 hours. And there is provided a liquid-crystal display in which the optical member is adhesively bonded through the tacky layer of the optical member to the surface of a liquid-crystal cell formed by used of the cell substrate.

A sheet for protecting paint film comprising a support having formed thereon a rubber adhesive layer comprising an isobutylene polymer having a degree of dispersion of from 1 to 2.3 and a weight average molecular weight of 300,000 to 600,000 (the domain A in the FIGURE) as the base polymer. The paint film protecting sheet has the compatibility of the prevention of the occurrence of a microdeformation and a good peelability. That is, when an article such as automobiles having a paint film applied with the protecting sheet is placed outdoors for a long period of time at high temperature, the paint film is hard to deform and the sheet can be easily peeled even after adhering for a long period of time.
