A yarn traversing apparatus includes a first traverse member having rotary blades for traversing a yarn from a center toward ends of a traverse stroke, and a second traverse member having rotary blades for traversing the yarn from the ends toward the center of the traverse stroke in order to wind the yarn onto a bobbin to form a yarn package. Guide rails are provided so as to maintain the speed of the yarn constant as it is conveyed by the first traverse member, and to gradually decrease the speed of the yarn from the ends of the traverse stroke to the center of the traverse stroke as it is conveyed by the second traverse member, from a speed that is 1.5 to 7 times that of the first traverse member, to a speed substantially the same as that of the first traverse member.

Yarn traversing apparatus

A bobbin holder comprises a rotatable support member, a plurality of bobbin holding devices inserted onto the rotatable support member, and at least one cylindrical member inserted onto the rotatable support member and engaging with the bobbin holding device, so that bobbin holding devices are expanded so as to hold bobbins. A main compression member for radically expanding the bobbin holding devices is disposed at one end of the bobbin holder. At least one supplementary compression member for supplementing expansion force of the main compression member is disposed at an intermediate portion between a bobbin holding device located at the end where the main compression member is disposed and another bobbin holding device located at an opposite end.

Bobbin holder

A bearing cooling apparatus of a heating roller wherein the heating roller includes a roller, heating means disposed inside the roller, and a shaft having the roller mounted thereon, comprising a housing having the shaft rotatably supported thereto by bearings attached to the housing and formed with a first passageway and a second passageway, and means for circulating a cooling medium through the first and second passageways. At least one of the first and second passageways extends along the bearing disposed adjacent the heating means and along the shaft and are disposed adjacent the bearing and the shaft.

A drive method for the winding of a yarn wherein the yarn is wound on a bobbin holder and into a yarn package by contacting a contact roller with the package and controlling the number of rotations of the contact roller or tension of the yarn so as to be a predetermined value. When the contact roller is driven by an induction motor and also the contact roller is driven in pressing contact with the package by the induction motor, the number of rotations of the contact roller is given by the following equation: N=n1-(K.multidot.m (n0-n1)/T1), wherein the N indicates the number of rotations (r.p.m.) of the contact roller with which the contact roller is operated in pressing contact with the bobbin holder, the n0 indicates the number of rotations (r.p.m.) which is synchronized to the power frequency of the motor driving the contact roller, the n1 indicates the number of rotations (r.p.m.) of the motor with which only the contact roller is driven, the T1 indicates a load torque (kg cm) of the motor with which only the contact roller is driven, the m indicates the number of packages which are wound in contact with the contact roller, and the K is beween 0 and 1.5.

Drive method of winder

A spindle drive type yarn winding apparatus of the bobbin changing type includes a motor for driving a bobbin holder; an inverter for supplying electric power to the motor; a contact roller for contacting with and driven by a bobbin inserted on the bobbin holder or a package wound on the bobbin; a controller for performing at least integral control action to the motor so as to control the rotating speed of the contact roller at a predetermined value; a setter which sets the winding speed, density of the wound package, stroke of the wound package and denier of the wound package, a first arithmetic circuit which calculates the diameter of the wound package; a second arithmetic circuit which calculates a gain of the controller based on winding conditions set by the setter, and diameter calculated by the first arithmetic circuit; and an altering device which alters the gain of the controller based on at least one factor set by the setter and the diameter of the wound package calculated in the first arithmetic circuit.
