An absorbent article has a planar direction and a thickness direction. The absorbent article includes a volatile first functional component, a volatile second functional component, water-disintegrable microcapsules that contain the second functional component, and a solvent that keeps the second functional component contained inside the microcapsules. Between a liquid-permeable layer and an absorption layer, the absorbent article has functional composition coated regions that extend in the planar direction and that are coated with the functional composition, and has adhesive coated regions that extend in the planar direction and that are coated with an adhesive. The adhesive coated regions have an adhesive region that directly or indirectly joins the liquid-permeable payer and the absorption layer.

Absorbent article

An absorbent article that includes: a liquid-permeable topsheet; a liquid-impermeable backsheet; and an absorbent sheet which is arranged between the topsheet and the backsheet and which has a pulp. A plurality of hole portions passing through from the topsheet side to the backsheet side are formed in the absorbent sheet. The topsheet is arranged so as to cover the hole portions of the absorbent sheet. The absorbent sheet has: a plurality of first regions which are bonded with the backsheet at a periphery of the hole portions; and a second region between the plurality of first regions. At least a part of the second region is spaced from the backsheet, and is arranged at the topsheet side more significantly than the first region.

A water-disintegrable absorbent article adapted to be easily peeled off the wearer's undergarment after use. A pantiliner has a topsheet lying on a body side of the wearer, a backsheet and a liquid-absorbent body interposed between the top- and backsheets. The backsheet may be formed of a water-disintegrable fibrous nonwoven fabric of which the component fibers have an orientation extending in a longitudinal direction. On a non-body side, first adhesive regions adapted to be attached to the wearer's undergarment and second adhesive regions allocated on both outer sides in a transverse direction of the first adhesive regions so as to be spaced in the transverse direction from the first adhesive regions. The first adhesive regions include front first adhesive regions, rear first adhesive regions and central first adhesive regions allocated between the front and rear first adhesive regions spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction. The second adhesive regions include front second adhesive regions and rear second adhesive regions spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction. The central first adhesive regions are allocated in a space area defined by the front and rear second adhesive regions and arranged in the transverse direction.

Absorbent article and method for producing the same

An absorber and an absorbent article which have excellent leak proof property during use and water disintegratability after disposal. The water disintegratable absorber includes a water disintegratable absorber layer and a water insoluble resin layer. The amount of water absorption of the water disintegratable absorber layer is 300 g/mor more and tear strength in the plan view direction of the water insoluble resin layer is 0.15 N/40 mm or less in a first direction as well as a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction.

It is an object of the invention to provide an absorbent article that is resistant to twisting and flattening, and that is superior in terms of fluid absorption rate, fluid diffusibility, absorbed fluid retention volume and fluid retention. The absorbent article comprises a top sheet on the skin contact side, a back sheet on the non-skin contact side, and an absorbent body situated between the two sheets, wherein the absorbent body comprises a bulky absorbent sheet, and the bulky absorbent sheet comprises heat-expanding particles that are dispersed in the bulky absorbent sheet and have been expanded by heat.

A sanitary napkin includes a napkin body having a liquid-absorbent layer for absorbing and retaining liquid and a projection projecting from a body surface of the napkin body. The projection is secured at laterally spaced base ends to the body surface of the napkin body. A distance between the base ends varies longitudinally of the projection. A height of the projection from the body surface of the napkin body decreases with increasing the distance between the base ends.

An absorbent article having leakage preventing walls that longitudinally exert an elastic contractive force to bend a main body. Each leakage preventing wall is provided, between front and rear ends, with a constraint portion so as to locally constrain an allowable rising height of the leakage preventing wall. Thus, the leakage preventing wall takes a shape that can easily conform to a curved surface of the wearer's body.

A sanitary napkin that is provided with large rear flaps to effectively prevent liquid from leaking obliquely rearward. The rear flaps are disposed rearward of fold-back flaps to be wrapped around a crotch part of an undergarment. The rear flap is of a shape spreading rearwardly from a starting point. With a pressure from the thighs acting forward of the starting point, leakage preventing walls forward of the starting point can be maintained in a rising state during wear. On the other hand, the leakage preventing walls rearward of the starting point may possibly fall outward. However, even if the leakage preventing walls fall outward rearward of the starting point, they will never project out of the rear flaps. Accordingly, they hardly leave a stain on an undergarment.

A sanitary napkin includes: a napkin body having a liquid-absorbent layer for absorbing and retaining liquid; and first and second projections each exerting an elastic contractive force between longitudinally opposing front and rear ends to concavely curve the body surface of the napkin body and raise itself from the body surface of the napkin body. The napkin body has an overlap region where the second projections lie on laterally opposite sides of the first projection.

A sanitary napkin includes a main body having a liquid-absorbent layer for absorbing and retaining liquid and a projection disposed on a body surface of the main body. At least a portion of the projection is separably fixed to the body surface of the main body through a temporarily fixing means.

A sanitary napkin includes a surface element that is formed of a liquid-permeable topsheet covering a liquid absorbent layer. The surface element is raised from the skin-side surface of a napkin body by an elastic force of an elastic member to form a protuberance having a front end and a rear end. The protuberance fits in the intergluteal cleft and prevents rearward leakage of menstrual blood.

A sanitary napkin includes a napkin body containing a liquid absorbent layer and a three-dimensional structure is disposed on the skin-side surface of the napkin body. The three-dimensional structure is formed of a reinforcing member and a liquid-permeable sheet, and an elastic member is disposed along an apex to extend in a longitudinal direction. The reinforcing member has high-density portions and low-density portions alternating with each other in the longitudinal direction so that the apex can be shortened in the longitudinal direction by an elastic contractive force of the elastic member. Therefore, the napkin body can be easily kept curved.

A sanitary napkin includes a main body having a liquid-absorbent layer for absorbing and retaining liquid and a projection disposed on a body surface of the main body. The projection has a resistive portion provided with a resistive member for resisting compressive deformation of the projection toward the main body and a flexible portion not provided with the resistive member. The flexible portion is longitudinally stretchable and subjected to a longitudinal elastic contractive force.

A sanitary napkin includes a napkin body containing a liquid absorbent layer and a three-dimensional structure is disposed on the skin-side surface of the napkin body. The three-dimensional structure is formed of an air-laid nonwoven fabric and a liquid-permeable sheet, and the air-laid nonwoven fabric is formed with upwardly extending compressed portions. The three-dimensional structure comes into close contact with the body's groove to effectively prevent lateral leakage of menstrual blood during sleep.

A sanitary napkin includes: a napkin body having a liquid-absorbent layer for absorbing and retaining liquid; and a projection projecting from a body surface of the napkin body. The projection has an apex and a pair of side wall portions formed of a liquid-permeable material. The apex is spaced apart from the body surface of the napkin body and extends along a longitudinal centerline of the napkin body. The side wall portions connect at the apex and diverge toward the body surface of the napkin body. The apex and the side wall portions are different in stiffness. The side wall portions have a space therebetween and are permitted to deform and approach each other.
