A connector includes a connector body and a terminal attached to the connector body, the connector being fitted with a counterpart connector, the connector body includes a recess being fitted with a counterpart connector body of the counterpart connector and side walls extending in a longitudinal direction of the connector body, the side walls defining both sides of the recess. The terminal includes a plurality of terminals disposed along each of the side walls, and the plurality of terminals disposed along each of the side walls include one high frequency terminal and ground terminals disposed on both sides of the high frequency terminal. In plan view, a straight line connecting high frequency terminals disposed along both the side walls is inclined with respect to a center line of the connector body in a width direction, and a shield plate of the counterpart connector extends along the center line.

Connector

A connector includes a connector body and a terminal attached to the connector body, the connector being fitted with a counterpart connector, the connector body includes a recess being fitted with a counterpart connector body of the counterpart connector and side walls extending in a longitudinal direction of the connector body, the side walls defining both sides of the recess. The terminal includes a plurality of terminals disposed along each of the side walls, and the plurality of terminals disposed along each of the side walls include one high frequency terminal and ground terminals disposed on both sides of the high frequency terminal. In plan view, a straight line connecting high frequency terminals disposed along both the side walls is inclined with respect to a center line of the connector body in a width direction, and a shield plate of the counterpart connector is extends along the center line.

A connector assembly can be attached to a surface of a substrate and has high airtightness to improve reliability. The connector assembly includes: a connector including a connector body and a terminal attached to the body; and a protective member including a wall extending in a longitudinal direction or a width direction of the body and an accommodation unit in which at least a part of four sides of a periphery is defined by the wall, the protective member being attached to the surface of the substrate with the connector accommodated in the accommodation unit. The protective member includes a protective member body made of an insulating material and a protective metal fitting made of a conductive metal integrally formed with the protective member body, and the protective member is placed on the surface of the substrate while coupled to the connector with the connector accommodated in the accommodation unit.

Connector assembly and connector pair

A connector assembly can be easily and certainly attached to a surface of a substrate while having a simple configuration, and high airtightness or watertightness is certainly maintained to improve reliability. The connector assembly includes: a connector including a connector body, a terminal attached to the connector body, and a reinforcing metal fitting attached to the connector body, the connector being attached to a surface of a substrate; and a protective member including a pair of parallel first walls extending in a longitudinal direction of the connector body, a pair of parallel second walls extending in a width direction of the connector body, the pair of second walls being connected to both ends of each of the pair of first walls, and an opening in which four sides of periphery are defined by the first wall and the second wall, the protective member being attachable to the surface of the substrate with the connector accommodated in the opening. The protective member is placed on the surface of the substrate while coupled to the connector with the connector accommodated in the opening.

Connector assembly

The Present Disclosure is a connector comprising a connector main body, terminals mounted in the connector main body, and a reinforcing main fitting mounted in the connector main body. The connector main body includes a mating guide portion formed on both longitudinal ends, the mating guide portion mating with an opposing mating guide portion formed on both longitudinal ends of the opposing connector main body of an opposing connector. The reinforcing metal fitting includes a pair of left and right contact arm portions, and a pair of left and right side guide portions disposed in the mating guide portions. The side guide portions guide the opposing mating guide portions, and the contact arm portions establishing contact with the opposing reinforcing metal fitting mounted in the opposing connector main body when the connector main body is mated with the opposing connector main body.
