A pair of hook-and-loop fasteners are attached onto a carton for securing a lid thereof. First fasteners are provided spaced apart along a first exfoliation sheet. Second fasteners adapted to mate and engage with the first fasteners are provided spaced apart along a second exfoliation sheet. The first sheet is deflected over a first knife edge to peel-off a first fastener and engage it onto a second fastener to form a fastener pair. The second sheet is deflected over a second knife edge to peel-off the second fastener of the pair from the second sheet and adhesively stick the fastener pair onto the carton.

A title sheet inserting machine includes a space forming mechanism that bends an optical disk case body from the developed, upwardly facing condition into a flat inverted V-shape, thereby deforming the transparent cover sheet of the case into a flat general V-shape through its own weight, to form an insertion space for inserting a title sheet between the case body and the transparent cover sheet. The title sheet inserting machine further includes an upper mold that has a corrugated contact face with a plurality of apertures for suction of air or ejection of compressed air to attach or detach the title sheet and that is insertable into the insertion space formed by the space forming mechanism, and a lower mold that has a corrugated contact face with a corrugation corresponding to that of the corrugated contact face of the upper mold, and that is positioned opposite the upper mold while being movable toward and away from the upper mold.

Title sheet inserting machine

An apparatus for positioning a case to be loaded with an optical disk, includes a pair of slide plates slidable in opposite, horizontal directions for moving a pair of positioning members (,A,,B) rotatably connected to the ends of the slide plates. The positioning members are moved between a withdrawn rest position in which toe faces (,) of the positioning members (,A,,B) do not contact the case, and a locating position wherein the toe faces contact an outer circumference of a ridge of the case to precisely locate the case. The positioning members (,A,,B) are driven between the withdrawn position and the locating position by a cam drive including a cam and a cam follower cooperating with each positioning member. The cam follower moves along the inclined surface of the cam provided at the case locating station.

Oppositely disposed case introduction and ejection stations (A, C), and oppositely disposed first and second insertion space forming stations (B, B&prime;) are spaced equally along the circumference around a turret (T). A developed case (,), prior to inserting a title sheet (P) therein, is introduced into the case introduction station (A). A developed case (,), after inserting a title sheet (P) therein, is ejected into the case ejection station (C). At the first and second insertion space forming stations, (B, B&prime;), a case body (,) is deflected into a flat, reversed V-shape to form a title sheet insertion space (S) between the case body (,) and a transparent cover (,). The turret (T) is rotatable by 90 degrees in forward and reverse directions and has first to fourth suction heads (,to,) corresponding to each of the stations. At each of the first and second insertion space forming stations (B, B&prime;), there is also provided a mounting stand (,) on which a case (,) having the title sheet insertion space (S) formed therein is mounted. With each successive 90&deg; rotation of the turret, a successive case without a title sheet is moved into one of the title sheet insertion space forming stations, and a case with a title sheet inserted therein is transferred to the ejection station.
