An LED device and an LED lighting apparatus using the same can include a casing including a cavity and at least one pair of LED chips including a first and second LED chips. The LED chips can be adjacently located in the cavity, and an encapsulating resin including a phosphor can be disposed in the cavity so as to encapsulate the LED chips. A light-emitting surface of the first LED chip can be covered with a transparent resin, and therefore color temperatures of light emitted from the first and second LED chips can be located on a substantially black body due to a difference between their distances to the encapsulating resin. Thus, the LED lighting apparatus using the LED device can selectively emit white light having a preferable color temperature that is close to a natural color between the color temperatures by adjusting current applied to the LED chips.

An insertion system for an intraocular lens includes an intraocular lens having a deformable optical portion, a lens package for storing the lens in a state in which no stress acts on the optical portion of the lens, a deforming member for deforming the lens to a reduced size, and an insertion device. The insertion device has an insertion tube through which the deformed lens is inserted into an eye, and a pusher mechanism for pushing and inserting the lens into the eye. The lens package has a function for attachment to the insertion device and a function for acting as a portion of the mechanism to be provided by the insertion device.

Insertion system for intraocular lens

An image shake detecting device for detecting a shake of an image on an image sensing plane on the basis of a video signal output from an image sensor includes detection circuits arranged to detect image displacement in a plurality of areas set on the image sensing plane, and a control microcomputer which makes a discrimination, on the basis of information output from these detection circuits, between a movement of a camera and a solo movement of a photographed object. The device thus accurately makes compensation for an image shake by judging the state of the image on the basis of information output from these detection circuits. The image shake detecting device further includes a computing circuit arranged to compute a quantity of an image shake on the basis of a difference in detecting timing of a feature point of the image and a sensitivity control circuit arranged to change the detection sensitivity of the shake detection circuits. Further disclosed is an object tracing device to which the invented image shake detecting device is applied.

Image shake detecting device

An insertion device for inserting a deformable intraocular lens into the eye. The insertion device has a an enclosing member that is attached to the body of the insertion device and that has two hinge portions at a lens receiving section. Further, a retainer member is fitted onto the enclosing member and a holder fitted onto the body. The deformable intraocular lens is placed in the lens receiving section after the enclosing member is opened. When the holder is retracted, the intraocular lens is deformed by a tapered inner wall portion formed at a the tip end of the holder, so that the exterior size of the lens is reduced. Subsequently, a push rod supported by the body is advanced in order to insert the lens into the eye.

Inserting device for deformable intraocular lens

An ophthalmologic knife includes a handle, and a blade having a base portion fixed to the tip of the handle and an incision-forming portion integrally formed with the base portion. The entire portion of the blade or at least part of the incision-forming portion which is inserted into the cornea of an eyeball has an arcuate cross section. By using the ophthalmologic knife, a three-dimensional incision having an arcuate cross section is formed in the cornea or the like. When a three-dimensional object having a cylindrical cross section or the like is inserted into the incision, the convex portion surrounded by the incision is bent toward the inside of the eyeball. This allows smooth insertion of the object.

Ophthalmologic knife

A deformable intraocular lens which does not deviate within the eye and is free from strains or deformation even when the tails of the supports are deformed by external force such as compression. The lens according to the invention has a deformable optical part which is made of an elastic material, and a plurality of supports which are made of a material different from that of the optical part and which are bonded to the optical part, each of the supports having, in a serial integration, a flexible tail, a rigid base which cuts off the transmission of stress generated by the deformation of the tail to the optical part, and an anchor which binds the support to the optical part, wherein the transitional part of the tail and the base is disposed outside the optical part. With this structure, even when the tails of the supports are deformed by external force, the tails themselves absorb the deformation stress and the rigid bases cut off transmission of the stress to the optical part.

Deformable intraocular lens

In an optical element, an optically transparent substance is sandwiched between transparent paired plate-shaped elements by utilizing a connection member capable of deforming, and the angle formed by the paired plate-shaped elements is caused to vary by a force applied thereto from the outside, so that a predetermined optical characteristic for the passing light rays is obtained. The connection member is constructed from a high-molecular material capable of molding.

Variable-angle optical device with optically transparent substance

An automatic image stabilization device which is arranged to detect image movement information from a sensed image signal produced from an image sensor and to reduce the image movement comprises a movement detecting circuit which obtains movement vector information for each of a plurality of parts of an image plane, and a weight setting circuit arranged to attach weight to each movement vector information and to vary the weighting degree according to photographing conditions. A camera using this device is arranged to correct the shaking of the camera on the basis of the result of a computing operation performed on a camera shake detected from the signal produced from the image sensor together with a camera shake physically detected by means of an accelerometer.

Automatic image stabilization device

A deformable intraocular lens which can be inserted in the eye through a smaller incision by being deformed to have a smaller shape. The lens according to the invention has a deformable optical part which is made of an elastic material, the optical part having a lens portion and a peripheral portion surrounding the lens portion. The peripheral portion is thinner than the center of the lens portion. A plurality of supports are made of a flexible material different from the material of the optical part. Each support has an anchor embedded in the optical part for bonding the support to the optical part. A plurality of reinforcing sections having a thickness larger than the peripheral portion of the optical part are provided at a plurality of positions on the peripheral portion of the optical part or in the proximity thereof. The anchors of the supports are embedded in the reinforcing section. The bonding strength between the optical part and the supports is enchanced and the thickness of the optical part is reduced. Thus, the optical part can be deformed in a smaller shape.

An inserting device for inserting an intraocular lens into the eye. An interference preventing portion is formed in a lens holding section which is provided with an opening/closing mechanism and is a part of a holder member attached to a body. An intraocular lens is held by the lens holding section such that its optical part made of an elastic material is deformed into a smaller shape. The tip portion of a support which is made of a different material from that of the optical part and which extends backward the optical part is received by the interference preventions portion. When a pusher rod of a pusher mechanism attached to the body is advanced, only the optical part is pushed by the pusher rod without causing interference between the pusher rod and the tip portion of the support, thereby inserting the intraocular lens into the eye. Therefore, the intraocular lens held by the lens holding section can be pushed out by the pusher rod of the pusher mechanism and safely inserted into the eye without causing deformation of the supports of the intraocular lens.
