A holding member attached to outer peripheries of a plurality of adjacent cylindrical cell modules which are arranged parallel along axes thereof. Each cell module is formed by a plurality of unit cells serially connected, and the holding member is positioned in the middle of the cell modules along the axes thereof so that a gap is secured between the cell modules. The holding member has a plurality of circular holding portions for respectively holding the cell modules, wherein the holding portions are coupled with each other, and the coupled holding portions have a plurality of divided portions at which the coupled holding portions are divided into two holding bodies, each being fit over the cell modules; and a coupling device for coupling the divided portions positioned between adjacent two of the holding portions.

In a fuel cell powered electric vehicle having a fuel cell system and an electricity storing device for storing electricity generated by the fuel cell system, the fuel cell system and the electricity storing device stored in a box are fixed to a lower side of a floor of a cabin. A plate is provided to separate the fuel cell system and the electricity storing device in the interior of the box from each other. In addition, through holes are provided in the floor of the cabin for connecting between a refrigerant inlet port and a refrigerant outlet port of the electricity storing device and the cabin.

Fuel cell powered electric vehicle

An arrangement of a cooling apparatus installed in a vehicle for cooling with an air refrigerant an electricity storing apparatus for storing electricity generated in the vehicle, comprises an inlet port, a discharge duct and a fan. The inlet port let in therefrom the air refrigerant to the electricity storing apparatus. The discharge duct is disposed below a floor surface of a trunk of the vehicle for causing the air refrigerant discharged from the electricity storing apparatus to flow therethrough. The fan is situated in the discharge duct for discharging the air refrigerant. The fan is disposed outwardly of an interior material provided on a side of the trunk of the vehicle. The arrangement of a cooling apparatus can prevent the operating noise of a fan from entering a passenger compartment and which can facilitate the installation of luggage in a trunk.

A cell module structure comprises a bus bar plate and plural cylindrical cells. The bus bar plate including plural bus bars each having a positive bus bar terminal, a negative bus bar terminal, and a screw formed in one of the terminals, the bus bars being serially connected to each other with the positive bus bar terminal corresponding to the negative bus bar terminal; and a control substrate integrally provided to the bus bar and connected to the bus bars. The cell includes a positive cell terminal and a negative cell terminal coaxially aligned at an end thereof, and a screw formed in the terminal having the same polarity as that of the bus bar terminal which is formed with the screw to which the above screw is screwed. The screw of the cell is screwed to the screw of the bus bar, so that different terminals with no screw are brought into contact with each other, whereby the plural cells are serially connected.

A charging element device comprises a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal which are located at one end of a cylindrical battery case having a positive electrode and a negative electrode equipped therein and which are respectively connected to the positive electrode and the negative electrode, with an electrolyte solution charging opening being formed at the other end of the battery case. The electrolyte solution charging opening is sealed by a plug having a safety valve, and the safety plug reduces an inner pressure of the battery case when the inner pressure is not less than a predetermined pressure.

A cell module structure in which cylindrical cells are connected to each other via a terminal connecting portion of a bus bar plate. An inner cell terminal and an outer cell terminal having different polarities are coaxially aligned at an end of the cell. An inner connecting terminal and an outer connecting terminal corresponding to the inner cell terminal and the outer cell terminal of the cell are coaxially aligned in the terminal connecting portion of the bus bar plate. The inner cell terminal and the outer cell terminal of the cell are connected to the terminal connecting portion of the bus bar plate in a connected condition in which the outer cell terminal of the cell contacts the outer connecting terminal of the terminal connecting portion, and the inner cell terminal contacts the inner connecting terminal.

The negative electrode foil is electrically connected directly to a bottom of the outer packaging can so that heat generated in an interior of the electric double layer capacitor is efficiently transferred to the outer packaging can from the negative electrode foil. The negative electrode foil has a greater thickness than that of the positive electrode foil, which is not electrically connected to the outer packaging can, so that heat quantity transferred is made large.
