There is provided a punching unit capable of punching holes in high-performance by increasing a punching force and by rotating a punch. A guide hole that guides the punch in the vertical direction is formed to have a narrow upper part, a wider lower part and inclined surfaces between them. An actuation pin engages with a cam and the punch moves up and down to punch a hole when a cam member reciprocates. The actuation pin abuts with the inclined surface of the guide hole at the punching position, so that the punch is rotated and a cam inclined angle is reduced by an inclined angle of the guide hole, allowing a large punching force.

Punching unit

A paper cutting device, for cutting multiple sheets of paper stacked in layers on a table, comprises a paper retainer () descending from an upper side along a guide and a cutter () diagonally ascending from the lower side. A receiving part () is mounted on the lower surface of a paper retaining frame (). The receiving part () is formed by joining a base plate () with a large elastic modulus such as a metal to a resin receiving plate (). A slip prevention structure is installed on the junction surfaces of the base plate () and the receiving plate () to suppress the extension/retraction of the receiving part of the paper retainer so as to prevent wrinkles from occurring in the paper near a blade receiving surface when the paper is cut off.

Paper cutting device having receiving part

A paper cutting machine is provided for cutting a plurality of sheets of paper stacked one upon another on a table, including a paper support () that moves down from above along longitudinal beams () and a cutter () that moves up from below in an oblique direction. The paper support () has a rest () for receiving a cutting edge of the cutter. The rest () is moved in a predetermined pitch whenever the number of strokes of the cutter () reaches a predetermined number. Accordingly, even when the cutting edge of the cutter cuts into the rest and becomes deteriorated, the cutter need not be exchanged immediately, the life of the rest can be lengthened and the number of sheets cut before exchange is necessary can be drastically improved.

Paper cutting machine having movable rest

A punching unit is arranged so that a plurality of punches is grouped into a first group having a predetermined number of punches and a second group containing any one of the punches in the first group and having a smaller number of punches. A punching state of the predetermined number of punches is produced by reciprocating a reciprocating member within a first range and by vertically moving the punches of the first group through the intermediary of cams and followers corresponding to the first group and another punching state of the smaller number of punches is reached by reciprocating the reciprocating member within a second movable range and vertically moving the punches of the second group through the intermediary of cams and followers corresponding to the second group. This arrangement allows the number of punches and dies to be reduced as compared to the prior art.
