An electric compressor includes a compression part configured to compress fluid, an electric motor configured to drive the compression part, a housing accommodating the compression part and the electric motor, a soundproof cover covering the housing, and a nameplate attached to the housing and including a predetermined information. The housing includes a protrusion that is a part of the housing and protrudes out of the soundproof cover through a hole formed in the soundproof cover. The nameplate is provided on the protrusion.

The compression portion is configured to compress a fluid. The electric motor is configured to drive the compression portion. The inverter is configured to drive the electric motor. The housing includes an outer peripheral surface that has a cylindrical shape and accommodates the compression portion, the electric motor, and the inverter. The support bracket is fastened to the housing and supports the housing to an object to which the electric compressor is mounted. The vibration insulator is interposed between the support bracket and the object. The soundproofing cover is made of an elastically deformable sound absorbing material and covers the housing and the support bracket.

A compressor includes a rotary shaft, a cam, a cylinder block, pistons, a thrust bearing, a rotary valve, and an oil passage. The rotary shaft has an in-shaft passage formed therein. The cam rotates integrally with the rotary shaft. The pistons are coupled to the rotary shaft through the cam. The thrust bearing is provided between the cam and the cylinder block. The thrust bearing includes a first race in contact with the cam, a second race in contact with the cylinder block, and rolling elements retained between the first and second races to form a gap therebetween. The oil passage extends from the gap to the in-shaft passage and includes an oil retaining space formed in at least one of the cam and the cylinder block.

A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor is provided with a front housing including a suction chamber, a rear housing, a cylinder block, a rotation shaft, and double-headed pistons. The cylinder block includes cylinder bores, a rotation shaft accommodation bore, a communication conduit that communicates the suction chamber with the rotation shaft accommodation bore, and suction passages communicating the rotation shaft accommodation bore to front compression chambers. The rotation shaft includes a groove passage that communicates with the suction passages. Further, the rotation shaft includes an annular groove that communicates the communication conduit with the groove passage. The annular groove includes a front side surface, which is spaced toward the rear housing from an opening of the rotary shaft accommodation bore that faces the front housing.

A compressor includes a rotary shaft, a cam, a cylinder block, pistons, a thrust bearing, a rotary valve, and an oil passage. The rotary shaft has an in-shaft passage formed therein. The in-shaft passage has an outlet open to the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft. The cam rotates integrally with the rotary shaft. The pistons are coupled to the rotary shaft through the cam. The thrust bearing is provided between the cam and the cylinder block. The thrust bearing includes a first race in contact with the cam, a second race in contact with the cylinder block, and rolling elements retained between the first and second races to form a gap therebetween. The oil passage is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft so as to extend from the gap to the outlet of the in-shaft passage.

A wheel assembly with an in-wheel motor in which a wheel driving apparatus formed of a motor or a combination of a motor and a reduction mechanism is provided in a wheel, includes an oil supply apparatus that is driven by rotational output of the motor, and an oil supply flow path that leads oil that has been drawn up by the oil supply apparatus to the wheel driving apparatus. The oil supply apparatus is structured so that oil can be supplied to the wheel driving apparatus via the oil supply flow path when the motor is rotating in the forward direction as well as when the motor is rotating in the reverse direction.
