A bone structure of a railcar includes: a pair of first lateral bones arranged at an inner side of a wainscot panel in a car width direction and extending in a car longitudinal direction, the first lateral bones being joined to the wainscot panel; and a side post arranged at an inner side of a pier panel in the car width direction and extending in a car upper-lower direction, the side post intersecting with the first lateral bones, wherein the side post includes: at least one first flange portion joined to the pier panel; a pair of cutout portions located at positions corresponding to the wainscot panel, the first lateral bones passing through the respective cutout portions in the car longitudinal direction; and at least one second flange portion arranged between the first lateral bones and joined to the wainscot panel.

The present disclosure relates to a front door to be provided on an end panel of an end portion of a railcar. The front door includes a hinge provided at a first vertical side portion on the front door, the hinge supporting the front door rotatably toward the car interior side, a lock mechanism provided at a second vertical side portion on the front door, the lock mechanism locking the front door, and an emergency support mechanism that holds the front door on the end panel upon collision of an object with the front door in a locked state.

A side bodyshell of a railcar includes: an outside plate including a window opening; horizontal frames arranged below the window opening and joined to the outside plate; and a vertical frame crossing the horizontal frames in a manner to pass over a pier panel, which is lateral to the window opening. The vertical frame includes: a first flange joined to the outside plate at the pier panel; and a second flange spaced apart from the outside plate below the first flange such that a step is formed between the first flange and the second flange, the second flange being joined to the horizontal frames.

A lower end portion of the first module and a lower end portion of the second module oppose and are joined to a floor bodyshell. A lower end portion of a region of the third module opposes the floor bodyshell, the region being located between the first module and the second module. The lower end portion of the region of the third module is freer with respect to the floor bodyshell than the lower end portion of the first module and the lower end portion of the second module. The third module is supported by the floor bodyshell through the first module and the second module.

A floor structure of a railcar includes: a pair of side sills extending in a railcar longitudinal direction; cross beams extending in a railcar width direction and coupling the pair of side sills; a supporting member, which is arranged on upper surfaces of the cross beams, in which bottom surface portions and convex portions projecting upward from the bottom surface portions are alternately, continuously formed in the railcar width direction, and which extends in the railcar longitudinal direction; receiving members located at positions corresponding to the cross beams, arranged on an upper surface of the supporting member, and extending in the railcar width direction; and a floor panel arranged on upper surfaces of the receiving members. The receiving members include: a floor plate contact portion that contacts the floor panel; and leg portions, extending from the floor plate contact portion to the bottom surface portion of the supporting member.

A railroad vehicle where an air conditioner can be installed in an upper part of a roof thereof includes a roof structure having an opening, and a low roof main body having a recessed part provided in the opening, and recessed in a cross section, the air conditioner being able to be placed on the recessed part, and an edge part of the low roof main body which is continuously formed from the low roof main body and joined to the roof structure. The low roof main body and the edge part of the low roof main body are made of plastic.

A railcar includes an underframe and an energy absorber provided at the underframe. The underframe includes a first end beam, a second end beam, and a sliding center sill connecting the first end beam and the second end beam with each other. The sliding center sill includes a first beam member connected to the first end beam, a second beam member connected to the second end beam, and a coupling member coupling the first beam member to the second beam member. The first beam member slides relative to the second beam member when the coupling member breaks by application of an impact load higher than a predetermined load. The sliding center sill and the energy absorber are arranged in a region located between the first end beam and the second end beam.
