A battery-module protection structure is configured to protect a battery module accommodated within a vehicle frame of a vehicle from an external impact. The battery-module protection structure includes a rail disposed within the vehicle frame, a pedestal securing the battery module and secured to the rail by using a securing member, and the vehicle frame serving as a housing of the battery module. The pedestal is configured such that, in a case where the vehicle receives the external impact and the securing member breaks, the pedestal moves in an inner direction of the vehicle along the rail while securing the battery module.

Battery-module protection structure

A protection structure for an on-board battery. The on-board battery includes a battery stack and is configured to be mounted on a vehicle. The protection structure includes a first frame, a second frame, and a fixing member. The first frame is to be coupled to an upper portion of a battery case that contains the battery stack, so as to fix the battery case to a vehicle body of the vehicle. The second frame is to be disposed above the battery case and to be coupled to the first frame. The fixing member is to be fixed to the second frame so as to suspend and support the battery stack. The second frame is to be disposed in a direction crossing a longer direction of the battery stack and at least at an approximate center in the longer direction of the battery stack.

Protection structure for on-board battery

A vehicle battery protection structure includes a vehicle frame member, a first duct, and a second duct. The vehicle frame member is disposed in a region including a battery. The vehicle frame member has a through hole. The battery is mountable on a vehicle. The first duct is disposed on an outside of the battery at a location oriented toward an outside of the vehicle. The second duct is inserted through the through hole of the vehicle frame member. The second duct is disposed to overlap the first duct in a vertical direction of the first duct on the outside of the battery at the location oriented toward the outside of the vehicle.

Vehicle battery protection structure

A vehicle battery temperature control apparatus includes a battery temperature detector, first and second ducts, an exhaust pipe, a heat receiver, a blower fan, and a processor. The processor causes the blower fan to rotate in one of opposite directions, thereby introducing cooling air from the first duct into a battery compartment, and emitting the cooling air that has cooled a battery to the outside via the second duct, if the battery temperature is higher than a first set temperature, and causes the blower fan to rotate in the other direction, thereby introducing air raised in temperature by exchanging heat with the exhaust pipe through the heat receiver from the second duct into the battery compartment, and emitting the air that has raised the temperature of the battery to the outside via the first duct, if the battery temperature is lower than a second set temperature.

Vehicle battery temperature control apparatus

An onboard battery for a vehicle includes battery modules each including battery cells disposed therein, a housing case that houses the battery modules, and intake ducts that introduce cooling air into the battery modules. The cooling air is taken from rearward into the battery modules via the intake ducts. The battery modules include at least three battery modules, at least two of the battery modules being disposed in upper and lower stages. At least two of the battery modules are arranged along a longitudinal direction. One of the battery modules is disposed at the forefront.

Onboard battery for vehicle

An onboard battery includes predetermined members such as battery modules, and a housing case. An internal space of the housing case is partitioned by a partition plate into an upper space and a lower space in which the predetermined members are disposed, and the battery modules are disposed below the partition plate. The housing case has a bottom surface on which the battery modules are disposed, a front surface that has a front-side tightening part, and a rear surface that has a rear-side tightening part. The partition plate has a partition base that partitions the internal space of the housing case into the upper space and the lower space, a front-side fixation target part that is continuous with a front end of the partition base, and a rear-side fixation target part that is continuous with a rear end of the partition base.

An onboard battery includes a battery module; and high-voltage devices. An inside of a housing case is partitioned into respective predetermined parts by a partition plate in the onboard battery. The partition plate has a disposition hole. The onboard battery includes, as the high-voltage devices, a first high-voltage device disposed on the partition plate and a second high-voltage device configured to be cooled by a convection caused by a cooling fan and attached to the partition plate with a part of the second high-voltage device protruding downward from the disposition hole. The partition plate has a discharge hole for a heat emitted from the first high-voltage device. The discharge hole communicates with a heat exhaust path for a heat emitted from the second high-voltage device.

An onboard battery for a vehicle includes battery modules each including battery cells, an auxiliary device for charging, and a housing case housing the battery modules and auxiliary device. Cooling air is taken from air intake holes into the battery modules to cool the battery cells. A middle of a transversal direction of the battery modules is shifted to either left or right of a center of a transversal direction of a vehicle. The auxiliary device is disposed at an other end portion in the transversal direction. Each air intake hole is between a left and right end of each battery module and in a back of each battery module. A side opposite to a side of the auxiliary device has an air introducing portthat takes cooling air into the housing case.

An onboard battery includes an accommodation case that has an upper accommodation unit and a lower accommodation unit positioned below the upper accommodation unit battery modules each having battery cells, and joints that couple the upper accommodation unit and the lower accommodation unit to each other. At least one battery module is accommodated in each of the upper accommodation unit and the lower accommodation unit. When a predetermined load or more is applied to the upper accommodation unit, a stress acts on the joints such that the upper accommodation unit and the lower accommodation unit are separated from each other, and the upper accommodation unit is moved away from the lower accommodation unit.

Onboard battery

Some vehicles are equipped with an onboard battery. The onboard battery includes a holding frame having a frame-shaped part, a housing case that is held by the holding frame, being inserted into the frame-shaped part, and battery modules housed in the housing case. For such a vehicle with the onboard battery, the vehicle body structure includes a displacement restricting part and a disposition depression. The displacement restricting part restricts an upward displacement of the onboard battery in a collision from behind is formed at a position facing a front end portion of the holding frame. The disposition depression is formed in a floor panel and the onboard battery is disposed to be at least partly inserted into the disposition depression.

Vehicle body structure and onboard battery for vehicle

An onboard battery for a vehicle, the vehicle having a crushable area in which a functional component with a predetermined function is disposed, the crushable area being formed between a pair of rear side frames located apart from each other in a transversal direction, includes a housing case disposed in front of the crushable area, a holding frame that is fixed to a vehicle body and includes a frame-shaped part including a pair of first portions apart from each other in a longitudinal direction and a pair of second portions apart from each other in the transversal direction, and a battery module including a battery cell.

An onboard battery includes an accommodation case that has a hollow cross section formed with multiple cavities, and at least one battery module that has at least one battery cell and is accommodated in the accommodation case. At least one disposition depression that communicates with one of the multiple cavities and is opened upward is formed in a portion positioned below the at least one battery module in the accommodation case, and at least one heater that heats the at least one battery cell is disposed in the at least one disposition depression so as not to be in contact with the at least one battery cell.
