An image recording apparatus records a plurality of measuring patterns on a recording medium. Each measuring pattern is constituted by dots spaced from one another on the recording medium, or by dots contacting one another, forming lines spaced from one another on the recording medium. Further, the measuring patterns have gravity centers are almost identical in position on the recording medium. Hence, the relative record shifts of the measuring patterns recorded by recording element arrays, respectively, can be decreased.

Disclosed herein is an image processing apparatus, in which an object image focused by a lens is split into a plurality of images by means of a light splitting section. These images are converted into image data items by a plurality of imaging devices which are arranged with their imaging area overlapping in part. The image data items are stored temporarily in an image storing section. A displacement detecting section detects displacement coefficients (rotation angle R and parallel displacement S) from the image signals representing the mutual overlap region of two images which are to be combined and which are represented by two image data items read from the image storing section. The position of any specified pixel of the image displayed is identified by the pixel signal generated by the corresponding pixel of any imaging device. An interpolation section performs interpolation on the pixel values of the imaging device, thereby correcting the values of the other pixels of the image displayed and ultimately generating interpolated image signals. The interpolated image signals are combined with the image signals produced by the imaging device, whereby a display section displays a high-resolution image.

A printer incorporated type electronic camera composed of an imaging unit including an imaging lens and a CCD, a printer unit, a cassette information detecting/recording unit, a tape cassette in which a recording tape having an adhesive agent applied to the back surface thereof is wound and accommodated and which can be detachably loaded and a controller for controlling respective elements. A subject image captured by the imaging unit is printed on recording tape in the tape cassette by the printer unit. Video ID photo printing apparatus corrects the complexion of a person serving as an object into a desired color without any influences caused by controlling an illumination light source and the various control section of a video image pickup apparatus, printer characteristics, and the like. In order to extract the complexion data of the person serving as an object photographed by a color TV camera, a skin-color portion in a face image is detected by a detection point setting unit. A comparator compares the detected data value with a data value of a desired standard skin color formed in advance and stored in a standard color memory. The skin color of the picked up face image is converted into a desired skin color by a look-up table in accordance with a comparison result, and the data of the desired skin color is written in a frame memory. Thereafter, the face image which is subjected to color conversion is printed by a full-color printer.
