To improve heat dissipation efficiency in an electronic component embedded substrate for mounting an electronic component of a type being prohibited from connecting to a ground pattern. An electronic component embedded substrate includes an electronic component and a heat transfer block which are embedded in insulating layers, a wiring pattern facing a surface of the heat transfer block, a wiring pattern facing another surface of the heat transfer block, a via conductor connecting the wiring pattern and the surface of the heat transfer block, and another via conductor connecting the wiring pattern and the another surface of the heat transfer block. The surfaces are insulated from each other. Even when an electronic component of a type having large heat generation and being prohibited from connecting to a ground pattern is mounted, the wiring pattern functioning as a heat dissipation pattern is connected to a ground pattern on a motherboard.

Electronic component embedded substrate and circuit module using the same

Disclosed herein is a MOS transistor embedded substrate that includes first and second MOS transistors each having a source electrode formed on one surface and a drain electrode formed on other surface, and an insulation resin layer in which the first and second MOS transistors are embedded such that the source electrode of the first MOS transistor and the drain electrode of the second MOS transistor face a same direction and that the drain electrode of the first MOS transistor and the source electrode of the second MOS transistor face a same direction.

A complex power management device includes DC/DC converters and a common reference line connected in common to the DC/DC converters. Each of the DC/DC converters includes a first switch element and inductor connected in series between first and second nodes, a second switch element, one end of which is connected to a third node that is a connection point of the first switch element and the inductor and the other end of which is connected to the corresponding ground terminal, and an output voltage adjustment circuit, which exclusively controls an ON/OFF state of the first and second switch elements based on a voltage of a fourth node that is the other end of the second switch element. The common reference line is connected to a fifth node that is provided on a wire connecting the second switch element of each of the DC/DC converters to the ground terminal.

A particle counting method that can count the number of the particles precisely. The method discriminates a wave pattern of the scattered light from a normal particle (subject of the counting) and a wave pattern of the light scattered by the agitation such as a floating particle, a radiation or changes in the intensity of the light. In one embodiment, a method for counting particles is disclosed which irradiates a light to a sample gas, detects a scattered light from a particle included in the sample gas by a photoelectric conversion device, counts the number of the particles of every particle size division by the output voltage wave pattern of the photoelectric conversion device, calculate a time difference (Ta&#x2212;T) from a point (T) being a peak of output voltage wave pattern and a point (Ta) being a falling detection threshold (A), when the time difference (Ta&#x2212;T) is beyond counting cancellation time (B), the output voltage wave pattern is not counted as a particle.

Particle counting method

A temperature adjustable seat is disclosed. The temperature adjustable seat comprises a seat and air being blown into an inside thereof a thermoelectric device for heating and cooling the air, an air-blower for blowing either heated air or cooled air by the thermoelectric device through the inside of the seat, and control device for controlling the thermoelectric device. The control device calculates a required heat quantity, the required heat quantity being a sum of a first heat quantity required for a seat surface temperature of the seat reaching to a target seat temperature and a second heat quantity that is given and received between the seat and an ambient environment and the control device controls a temperature of the thermoelectric device so as to supply the required heat quantity to the seat.

A stacked filter includes an array of resonant sections, the resonant sections adjacent each other being electromagnetically coupled, a first resonator electromagnetically coupled to the resonant section on one end of the array of the resonant sections, and a second resonator electromagnetically coupled to the resonant section on the other end thereof. Each of the resonant sections has a pair of interdigital coupled quarter-wave resonators, and a passing frequency as a filter is set to a value flower than a frequency fdetermined by a physical length &#x3bb;/4 of the quarter-wave resonator. The first and second resonators have a physical length of &#x3bb;/4, where &#x3bb;is a wavelength corresponding to the passing frequency f. The stacked filter enables miniaturization and sufficient impedance matching with external circuits in a broad band, resulting in excellent filter characteristics in the broad band.

An inductor element containing circuit board of the present invention comprises a plurality of conductive layers, and a conductor having an inductor function (inductor conductor segment) in one or more of the conductive layers, wherein at least part of the inductor conductor segment is made thicker than other conductors disposed within the circuit board. The at least part of the inductor conductor segment extends through an insulating layer disposed between the conductive layers, or is embedded in the insulating layer, wherein the part of the inductor conductor segment has a thickness one-half or more the thickness of the insulating layer. A power amplifier module of the present invention comprises the multi-layer circuit board, a semiconductor amplifier fabricated in the multi-layer circuit board, and an impedance matching circuit coupled to the output of the semiconductor amplifier. The impedance matching circuit has a portion thereof formed of the inductor conductor segment.
